Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
It's time for another Color Hues challenge and this time I chose the colors...
Here's what I chose...
I had sunflowers in mind. Then I thought poppies, but I ended up with a NBUS
Wild Blossom. Maybe I'll get a chance to use the sunflower and poppy in the next
two weeks. Maybe not. So many toys, so little time!
This is an embossing folder with a die. I love these sets because I can get
wonderful texture and dimension on the die cuts.
I cut the flower twice from Betterpress 100% Cotton Paper and embossed
another piece of this paper. I used colored pencils to color the embossed leaves and
Zigs to color the die cut flowers which were added to the embossing.
My splatters are controlled by using an old woodblock stamp. A tiny punched
butterfly and foiled sentiment finished it off.
Now let's go over to Color Hues and see what the my talented friends and our
fantastic Guest Designer Von Marie have done to inspire you.
I hope you'll create a card using Yellow & Green and add it to the gallery at
Please only use hues of these two colors. Neutrals are welcome.
Challenge ends at 9:00 AM on July 29th.
The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.
Most importantly, just have fun!

Your Wild Blossoms are so pretty - and how fabulous they come as an embossing folder + die combination. Lovely card - and wonderful inspiration for your colour pairing.

Wild, and beautiful - just like YOU, Bonnie! I'm inspired by your gorgeous wildflowers to play along! What a perfect color combo for mid-July! My front garden is bursting with daisies at the moment - wish you could come sit a spell with me!

Beautiful Wild Flowers and beautiful card. This is a great color combo and just says flowers to me. I will have to play along.
Bonnie I love these colors. I also love your flowers and that Butterfly and Sentiment is a perfect touch!! Hugs Von Marie
Great color choice for the mid-summer, high heat we're having, Bonnie. I do LOVE your blossoms and the pretty hues that you used, plus the dimension is always a win! Oh! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Hey birthday girl...your card is absolutely GORGEOUS and I just love the colors you chose for this challenge!! Your flowers are so pretty (even if they're not sunflowers or poppies!) and your background too! Lovely, lovely card and hope you have a fabulous day celebrating!! Hugs. :0) P.S. Your card will be late as I didn't get it in the mail till Monday...SORRY!!
It doesn't get much better than yellow and green in my book! It was instant delight when I saw your card. So pretty and cheerful! Love those controlled splatters and the sweet little butterfly. Ditto what Marcia said. Mailed on Monday, sheesh. I hope you are treated to a wonderful day!
The other choices were good but the Wild Blossoms were the way to go with these colors, Bonnie. I love the size of the flowers and the splatters add just the right amount of pollen. LOL
Lovely card! And Happy, Happy Birthday.
Hello Birthday girl! As always you make florals come to life. The spatters were a nice touch. Hope you have had a lovely day and got a bunch of cards in the mail!
Happy Birthday, Bonnie! I love the colors you chose for us this time, and your florals are just fabulous! I love how they fill the whole card.
