Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
A sweet friend sent me the Anemone Blooms Glimmer Plate & Die set
for my birthday. Thanks again to my sweet friend!
Sometimes my Glimmer machine and I don't get along, but this time it
worked perfectly! I foiled on a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock with thoughts
to leaving it plain. But then I wondered how it would work with sponging the
inside of the petals white.
I wasn't crazy about the effect but after adding some white watercolor pencil,
I liked it better.
Using Linda's Freshly Made Sketch #697, I added some strips of gold foil
and liked it even better.
I foiled the included sentiment on a scrap of cardstock and used the die to cut it out.
That's all it needed.
A twofer....
This time I foiled it on Neenah Solar White cardstock and die cut the image.
This time I colored with Copic markers and added it to a stenciled background.
A thin frame and foiled sentiment made a birthday card with my favorite color.

That set has found the perfect home, Bonnie! Absolutely gorgeous on that deep blackberry and even prettier in your 'favorite' color! You've brought those Anemones and our Sketch to life! Thanks for playing this week!

Blackberry and gold makes an elegant combination, Bonnie. That card is gorgeous. The gold frame around the yellow flowers reigns them in and makes that a beautiful card too. I can see you getting a lot of cards from this generous gift.
Both cards are elegant and so beautiful! I always love gold and black, and the yellow anemones are so pretty! (One of my favorite flowers but one that has never been happy in my garden.)
Both cards are absolutely beautiful Bonnie! Your first one with the blackberry bliss and gold foiling is so elegant and I love the touches of white you added!! And of course, yellow being my favorite color too, your 2nd card totally is making me smile this morning...LOVE it!! You have definitely made good use out of that foiling plate already my friend...lovely, lovely cards!! Hugs. :0)
WOW, that first cad is so elegant looking in the Blackberry Bliss and gold foil. Coloring with the white pen makes the flowers pop. Your 2nd card with your favorite color, yellow, is gorgeous with the gold foil and stenciled background. Thanks for sharing this beauty with us at Seize the Birthday.
Wow, the same stamp and two totally different looks! And both are gorgeous!
Wow these cards are gorgeous! Totally different looks but both are fabulous! Glad you shared one at FMS!
Two beautiful cards! Both are amazing. While I really like the white inner portions and the deep plum, no one can deny that your favorite yellow doesn't push all the right buttons. Well done display with your new gift!
WOW! Gorgeous set, but a lovely and thoughtful gift for your birthday! LOVE both cards. That blackberry bliss paper is so rich and elegant looking, especially with the gold. Love the way you've added the white, it makes the flowers pop against the dark background. And so pretty in shades of yellow and orange. Great work Bonnie!! xx
Wowie, two gorgeous cards to drop my jaw! Why do I always forget about Blackberry Bliss? It looks fabulous with the gold, and the white pencil gives the blooms such a pretty color. I think you know how I feel about yellow, too. Such warmth an beauty. Stunners, Bonnie!
Both versions are beautiful. I have the die version and now I probably need to play with it again.
Two stunningly beatiful cards, Bonnie. Thanks for sharing them. I'll have to CASE them.
