Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Today's card could be used for a winter birthday but I chose to make it
into a Christmas card.
I started with a piece of Grout Gray from MFT and stamped some leaves with
white pigment ink and heat embossed them. Then I stamped the pine branches.
Any ink over the embossing wipes off with a paper towel. A little script stamp in a
light gray added more interest to the background.
The cardinal was cut from Real Red cardstock and sponged with Cherry Cobbler
ink over the edges. A Sharpie was used to color his bill.
I had some pine branches sitting out and popped one over the stamping and added
a berry branch too. The bird fluttered over and landed on the branch.
Another one for my Christmas stash.

Bonnie, your white embossed leaves are really incredible - what a wonderful collection of stamps and dies you've used for your Cardinal! Even the scripty stamping is lovely and that sweet sentiment brings it all home so perfectly!

That cardinal is loving the beautiful place you gave him to perch, Bonnie. Mixing the white leaves with the pines was a great idea.
Cardinals are always beautiful and amazing, this is no different. Your variety of branches and leaves are beautiful too
I completely agree with you, Bonnie, that this card could also be a birthday card. Adding gray ink to the stamped pine branches was a brilliant touch. They look impressive and very natural. The white leaves contrast beautifully with this gorgeous cardinal.

What a beautiful bird and I love the effect of the white embossing xx
