Garden Poems Watercolored

I won some blog candy at my friend Benzi's blog.

This is the card I made for her.

Now that she's received it, I thought I'd share it with you.

I stamped the flowers with Memento ink
and watercolored them.

has an ANYTHING GOES CHALLENGE.

also has ANYTHING GOES this week.

wants us to choose 3 things from their list.
I've used the items that are in bold print.
ribbon, flowers, lace, pearls, sprays/mists, punched elements or die cut elements, rhinestones, doilies (stamped will work too), dry embossing or scoring

for that snippet of gingham ribbon.

Thanks for the visit.

Enjoy!

More Lemonade

Another post for today.  Here's the second card I made from the not so good stamping I did on Sunday.  This time I turned it over and got a good stamping.  Only trouble was that after it was all colored, I realized I could see the stems through the cardstock.  Even laying it on some yellow didn't hide them.  So I punched the image so those pesky stems wouldn't show.

This was to be for the Queen for the Day at SCS last week.  DJ has a wonderful gallery with lots of flowers and butterflies.  I found lots of inspiration there.  When I saw this card, I thought of this stamp and yellow flowers.  I was going to use a different layout but DJ's layout was perfect for this salvaged image.  And I ended up loving the results.  Hope you do too.

All supplies are Stampin'  Up! unless otherwise noted

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Garden Poems (Penny Black)
Ink:  Tuxedo Black (Memento), SU Markers (Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive)
Paper:  Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Other:  2 1/2" Circle Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Daffodil Delight Seam Binding, White Gel Pen, Circle and Scallop Circle Nesties (Spellbinders)

We had a rainy morning when I had to run errands.  Now that I'm home, the sun is out.  All this warm weather and rain is making the leaves start to open.  I think we'll be seeing a lot of pollen in the coming days.  It will be nice to see the trees green again.

Thanks for stopping to visit.  I hope you're having a wonderful day whatever your weather.

Enjoy!
