For Queen Peggy

I'm really behind on my Queen for the Day and Featured Stamper tributes.  I'm hoping to get them caught up this week.

This is for the Queen 2 weeks ago, Peggy (aka jasonw1).  Peggy has such an elegant style!  You can see her wonderful gallery here.   Here's my card for her.

This is the card that I CASEd.  I used the same layout but used one of my friend Loll's beautiful daisies instead of a butterfly.

The colors are from last week's Color Challenge also at SCS, Basic Gray, Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette.  The dessert is flowers with a touch of green.

Merry Monday Beautiful Season

Does the weekend go by fast for you?  It seems like the clock speeds up Saturday and Sundays!  And here it is Monday again....Merry Monday.

How I've loved this Beautiful Season set!  I love the little Chickadees and this one is perfect to me.  He's a keeper although Stampin' Up! is retiring him.

Pixie's Playground will warrant a visit since I raided the snippet box for these pieces.  There's excitement brewing over there about a certain decopatch cow!

Nature Walk will be retiring soon.  This set has been such a hard worker for me.  You could  say it's been a worker bee.  Stampin' Up! will be retiring this set on May 31st.  We know that I still use my retired stamps a lot so you'll still be seeing it pop up occasionally.  If you want it for your shelf, you need to order soon.

We'll be using this bee and the honeycomb embossing folder in tomorrow's class.  So while I had it out, I thought it would work well with the current Seize the Birthday challenge.  Here's Lesley's sketch. It's perfectly CAS.

Merry Monday Peaceful Christmas

We're around to Merry Monday again.  This week's sketch had me stumped.  But after a few false starts, I came up with something I was pleased with.  Here's Lesley's sketch.

And here's my card...

Pretty simple actually.  I stamped the pine branch from the old, old Peaceful Wishes set in Old Olive, stamping them off the page.  Punched some 1/4" circles from scraps of Glimmer Paper to pop on there, stamped a sentiment and the design was done.

My Friend

I am so blessed to have wonderful friends.  One of these friends is Loll of Stamping with Loll.  She is a constant source of inspiration and she always shares how to do her cards. I always learn something from  her blog.  Recently she made some card candy. I was a lucky recipient and couldn't wait to use it.

Isn't this daisy amazing?  The sponging on the petals and the center with the glitter is beautiful! 

I thought it would be perfect for the Muse challenge this week.  This week's Muse is Jen Mitchell and this is the card she created for our inspiration.

I love this layout with the rounded corners on the top and how the design piece is dropped to the bottom of the card.  I was also inspired by the colors.

Edited to add that I was so excited to get a card done that I forgot a couple of challenges.

CCEE Stampers Challenge 1318 want us to make it shimmer. Do you see the glitter in the center of the daisy?

Simon Says Stamp is looking for Happy Mail. 

It was happy mail when I received these daisies and I hope it will be happy mail when a special friend receives this card.
