CASEing Loll With Poppy Trio

I've been wanting to do some more watercolor.

My friend Loll, (Stamping with Loll)
has the honor of her card here
being the subject of the
this month.
Stamplorations is offering a prize.

This challenge runs until the end of March.

I chose to use the red and gold colors and the layout as my inspiration.

It was fun watercoloring again.

So many fun techniques, so little time!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

Enjoy!

Another Smoosh Technique

When I posted my Merry Monday card with the smoosh technique,
my friend Marybeth told me that Make It Monday
at Papertrey Ink was doing "smoosh" this week.

I went over and watched Betsy's video
and gave it a try.

It was fun!

I used half of a broken stamp case instead of a piece of acetate
and "smooshed" ink spots in the center of it.

Then I spritzed with water and
"smooshed" the paper on the ink.
(I found that the Neena Solar White worked well.)

That's all there is to the background.

I stamped a flower and sentiment
and the design was done.

Of course I'm going to enter this in the
WATERCOLOR SMOOSHING

Merry Monday Blues

It's Merry Monday time.

Our snowbound Debbie chose the challenge for this week.

I used a piece of Smoosh Background
stamped some snowflakes with Island Indigo ink,
die cut some snowflakes from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper,
and added a die cut Merry.  The die cut is 4 layers.  I intended 3
but covered the top with Wink of Stella and didn't like it.
So I added another over top.

Since I used snippets on my card, I'm heading over to
Pixies Crafty Workshop

I hope this is CAS enough for

Delicate Ferns

I bought this fern die quite a while ago and have finally got around to using it.

Laurie's card (stampin up north) inspired me to
buy this die and the alcohol inks.
Thanks for the enabling, Laurie.  I have certainly had fun with them!

The background was done with Alcohol Inks.

The sentiment with stamped VersaMark ink and heat embossed with black powder.

I die cut the fern from the background and again from green and white card stock.
Then I used the embedded die technique, fitting the white fern in to negative space.

Glued the green fern on top and added a little bow from some Perle Cotton that had been
in my stash forever.

I'm entering this in some challenges.

Stamping, Alcohol Inks, Die Cuts
I'm hoping that when the Spring weather comes,
my ferns will turn green instead of black.

The theme for this challenge is
Anything Goes using any brand of die Scrapy Land sells.
I used a Memory Box Die (Delicate Fern)

Please use monochromatic green
(shades of green with white or cream or black)
I used my Big Shot to cut the ferns.

Just a hint of clover…

use green on your card.

Would you like to see what I did with the alcohol inked cut out fern?

Thanks for dropping by.

Enjoy!
