Daisy Chain

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I love daisies and remember that there was a meadow full of them behind
our house when I was a child.  We would pick the daisies and try to make
a chain from them...or a crown.

When I saw Karren's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, those circles spoke daisies to me.

The daisy dies are unmarked in my collection so I don't know who to credit
them with.  I only used the two largest dies for this card.  They were cut from
Neenah Solar white and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

I tried several colors for the background and settled on MFT's Natural.
(I am going to hate it when I run out of this cardstock!)

Looks like we have a ladybug infestation!

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Handwritten Borders (SSS)
Ink:   Versafine Onyx Black
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Natural (MFT)
Other:  Daisies (?), Copics (Y15, Y17, Y18, C00), Burlap EF (HB)

Enjoy!

Had to chuckle a bit when I saw the ladybugs on your card Bonnie...you'll understand when you see my card! Haha!! But anyway, I love your trio of daisies and how beautifully they POP off your neutral background! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)

Were you and Marcia playing cards together?? The lady bugs have had their day in the sun for sure! I loved that MFT paper - I even wrote to Kim recently to ask if she could share her source but never heard back. I love your daisies and the MFT Balloon string sentiment, too, Bonnie - 'she loves it ALL'! Thanks for playing cards with FMS!

Love your card with the chain of daisies on the Natural color. Those cute little lady bugs are loving them too. I like the partial embossing with the sentiment on top. Great card. Have a wonderful week.

Love, love, love your handwritten border. My favorite color combo - red and yellow. Someone is going to have lots of good luck when these lady bugs enter their home. I really like the color of the card stock you used and such great texture. A very beautiful and fun birthday card.

Daisies are my favorite and yours are lovely, Bonnie. They pop off that neutral background and the embossing separated them from the sentiment border. I have forgotten about that border stamp. It filled the card nicely.

How can you not love a daisy? They are the very definition of cheerful! I love them in the garden because the deer don't eat them. I think I need more! Your daisies look so cute against the neutral cardstock with this sketch and the darling ladybugs!

Oh Bonnie, those daisies have never looked sweeter and I love how the ladybugs just pop off of each one! Such a clever sentiment that mimics their flight path, too! Thanks so much for joining us at FMS this week!
