Loving Blooming Buds

I was so excited when I saw the Blooming Buds set
that my friend Deepti had designed.

This is just one of the flowers in the set.

I knew these colors would be perfect for Deepti's stamps.

I embossed the flower with VersaMark ink and clear embossed it.

Using Distress Markers, I colored the flower and blended the colors
with an Aqua Painter.

After painting the flower, I wet the area around it,
scribbled some ink on a piece of plastic and picked it up
with my Aqua Painter and added some color.

I used hot press watercolor paper for the first time
and I love the smooth texture!

Thanks, Brenda, for sharing the difference between hot press and cold press.

I'm going to share this with the

Hello Bonnie,
your card is fantastic! White embossing and delicate pastel colors make the card has an incredible lightness and ethereal. It is so beautiful that I would like to do a similar, but I know that never my card will not be as perfect as yours. I adore her.

Love both the cards Bonnie. Don't you love trying the different watercolor techniques? Also nothing beats one's box of UFO's - so fun to get creative.

Such lovely soft colours - love the way you went around the outside of the flower to make it stand out. I just bought some hot press wc paper but haven't tried it yet - glad to hear you like using it.

Wow Bonnie! This is a stunning card!! I love how your flower turned out on the water color paper. The colors you used are stunning and I love how you did the color around the flower too. So gorgeous! I also love the sentiment and happy to see that it has the other words with it instead of just the live, laugh, love. Glad you are liking the hot press watercolor paper. It was a happy mistake on my part which let me to google it to find the difference between the cold and hot. It's nice to have smoother surface to work on. Hugs, Brenda
