Watercolor Class Cornflowers

Here's another card using a technique from the Online Watercolor Class.

This technique was so much fun!

I didn't realize you could make flowers with a flick of a brush and some paint.

(You did know they were flowers.  Right?)

DH is amazed that I can get so many colors out of 3 tubes of color.

It is amazing.  But I'm still having problems getting the right amount of water.

I'm waiting for that aha moment when it all comes together.

This is how it looked when I finished painting.

I stamped a sentiment at the top.

Then I decided to do some scoring.

Yikes,

Should have let the ink dry first.

I'm glad you are enjoying my blunders and bloopers.

Rest assured that there are much worse that didn't get their picture taken!

I'll take this over to Simon Says Wednesday Challenge where it's
ANYTHING GOES.
You've got to check out those designer cards if  you haven't already.

Thanks for the visit.

Enjoy!

Your card is so pretty Bonnie and if you chop the top off your bloop it can also become a lovely card. You certainly are doing well. Money well spent for sure. Barbxx

I did INDEED know they were flowers - and beautiful blue ones too! Love the free & easy style you've developed, and the water addition will get to be 2nd nature to your hand I'm certain. (speaking as one who's not even looked at the 1st video). I'm amazed at what you've accomplished - although I don't know why I am! You're a master at whatever medium you choose to work in. Love the way this carded up so pretty too. TFS & Hugs

YOur flowers are beautiful and look stunning on both cards! I really like how the birthday sentiment has the look of watercoloring to match the flowers too! Well done Bonnie!

You ended up with a beautiful card, Bonnie! I wouldn't even attempt painting--that's why I have a million stamps--haha! Love the little splatters!

Great job with your cornflowers Bonnie. Two beautiful cards. I'm with you on the ration of paint to water ... can't seem to get it right. But I'll keep practicing. I hope my Ah-ha moment comes soon! :) xx

No one would ever know there was an "oops," because the card is gorgeous.

Bonnie your cornflowers turned out beautifully. I love how you kept your finished cards CAS so your flowers are the stars :-) I agree, the pigment to water is the toughest part. Paper towels are my best friend when watercoloring! TFS my friend.

Oh my heck! Your card is perfect! That wee butterfly in that flowered field--so lovely. And the bloopers, that's nice so we all know there is hope for us yet!

I knew immediately that they were cornflowers (they're one of my favourite wildflowers). Beautifully done! And the final card is a perfect recovery from your smudged ink in the original!
