Weeds or Wildflowers

Hello.

Just a quick share today.

This is a card I sent to my dear niece who is fighting cancer.

This is a CASE (Copy And Share Everything) of this card by Becky Jensen.

Mine is a bit simpler.

The sentiment inside speaks of wishing we could throw her troubles to the wind.

Very appropriate I think.

I hope she likes it and it brings her some comfort.

I see that the Time Out Challenges theme this week is
MAY ALL YOUR WEEDS BE WILDFLOWERS
I think this fits.
TIME OUT Challenges

We consider dandelions weeds, but the children believe that they are flowers.

What do you think?

and

Cuttlebug Mania

in case you consider dandelions flowers.
(I use a hand crank Big Shot to die cut and emboss.)

and

Addicted to Stamps and More

and

Pixie's Snippet Playground

Pixies Crafty Workshop
since I've used snippets for my dandelion.

and

That heat embossed sentiment is a good reminder that there's still a few days left at
CAS Mix Up

You have until the 24th.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Love how you made the flower stand out against the background. I'm sure this card will brighten your niece's day, knowing that other people are thinking about her. As for the flower/weed issue, I think it depends on where it is growing: out in the meadow or in the garden. After our neighbour moved, I inherited a few pots with herbs. In one of them, I spotted a single sprig of basil and a fast growing weed, but according to my Greek landlord it's being eaten as a salad here, so I left the 'weed' in the pot and moved the basil to another one. ;-)

What a nice card, Bonnie. I like how you tied your inside note to the theme of the seeds flying. Cancer is such a nasty disease that has affected so many people, and I'm sorry your niece is one of them. I hope she recovers fully.

What a beautiful card Bonnie, dandelions are very close to my heart as they're the Military child's official flower - basically as we travelled wherever we were blown, put down roots and survived.

I hope your niece makes a full recovery from what I feel is the very worst of diseases.

Hugs

Di xx

Bonnie... This is just perfect. It's what I like to call understated beauty... Something that doesn't need to be added to at all because it's perfect just as it is. In other words... you got it spot on and I love it :)
I'm sorry to hear about your niece, Bonnie. I truly hope her road ahead is as pain free and as easy as is humanly possible. I know it's not an easy thing to face for anyone...
Take care of yourself...

Simply beautiful Bonnie. Your niece will love your card. It takes flowers to make more weeds, so yes those are dandelion flowers my friend. TFS

I'm so sorry for your niece battling that disease. I'm sure this card will cheer her up. The verse is a wonderful about throwing it to the wind and the dandelion is so pretty. I love how excited children are to blow the dandelions to the wind, but I do not like the yellow ones. Only on cards!
