The Penny Black Saturday Challenge for August is
YOUR FAVORITE TECHNIQUE
Mine is watercolor.
And I had a play with a new die from Penny Black.
(Die cutting is also a favorite technique.)
I did another watercolor piece and when I was finished and looked at it,
it appeared to be upside down.
So I cut it down to look right side up.
Then it was too small for the die.
So I cut that too.
I used some Glad Press and Seal when I cut the die because I wanted the pieces to stay intact until I was ready to use them. The Press and Seal won't budge from the die cuts now.
And it was on the front. So the images have a nice little shine.
I probably couldn't do that again if I tried!

I think it's fun to watch sail boats and to be anywhere where I can look out over the water.
I've blended the watercolors into each other.

Now this gave me a chuckle! Love the die and such a pretty water colour background. Great idea to chop the die up on the second card and loving the accidental shine on the die cuts lol xxxx Happy accidents, love them!
Two lovely water scenes. Makes me want to be there.
Love your watercolours ocean Bonnie. Both cards are so pretty. Funny about it looking upside down ... looks right to me now, and so sweet as a smaller panel with just the boats. Shows the versatility of die-cuts and how they can look so different.
I always look to be where I can look out at water. :) So peaceful ... a happy place to be. :) xx
Beautiful water coloring, Bonnie...and that die is fabulous!! Have a great day! Heart Hugs, Colleen

Oh I adore both of these cards Bonnie! Makes me long for the sea - we're only about 30 minutes drive from the coastline but it's still too far for me. I used to love being able to see the sea from upstairs windows! Such perfect colours you used with that fabulous die as well.
Hugs

Spectacular colour blending for the sea and I love that little strip of pink separating it from the blues of the sky. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards.

Love the way you persevered and made the second card! Made me chuckle as I've done things like that too. You ended up with two beautiful cards with lovely watercoloured backgrounds.
both cards are fabulous! Love the watercolor backdrop, and the fact that they are slightly different is great too!
What happy sea cards! I like both version. Very clever of you to cut some of the elements out of the die.
Wonderful cards, Bonnie! I too love the sea.
I love your quick fix, Bonnie! I sure don't see where either way would be upside down and enjoyed your humor in your description. Your watercolor blending is gorgeous!
