Sprayed Butterfly

While trying to dilute the Colorwash sprays, I tested on a piece of Mixed Media paper.

It's not pretty, but works pretty well for die cuts.  Especially one like this
Concord & 9th delicate butterfly.

I added some shimmer spray to it too.  It shimmers prettily when the light hits it.

I'd like to add that I have a wonderful cutting plate for my Big Shot.
Nancy Stislow sent it to  me and it makes those delicate dies cut like butter!
It is saving me a lot on cutting plates too.  I was having to replace them frequently.
Between cutting sets for classes and the class participants themselves, my Big Shot gets
a lot of heavy use.  If you're interested, I'll be glad to connect you with Nancy.

Less is More is having a two week challenge.
It's a RECIPE CHALLENGE: USE SOMETHING TACTILE
I have embossing paste, a die cut and sequins.

The challenge this month at CAS Mix Up is
I have stamping, Spraying, Die Cut, and Stenciling with Texture Paste
(This stencil doesn't seem to be available anymore.  I've looked and looked for it.
It's my favorite so I just have to use it occasionally.)

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

So classy and stylish, and I love the monochrome colour scheme! The embossing paste in the background sets off the butterfly so well. Thanks so much for playing with us at Less is More!

I love the background; it looks like your butterfly is on a window on a rainy day. Very pretty.

What a cool looking card -- very artsy b'fly die and as always, you know things to put it with that make an impact..like the choice of stencil and paste.

Simply fabulous Bonnie! Love that butterfly amongst all the wonderful white space and that bit of embossing adds texture without detracting from the focal piece! Have a wonderful weekend! Hazel xx

Very elegant, the butterfly looks striking against the white background.

Just wondered what your new Big Shot cutting plate is made from. Sounds intriguing. xx

This is lovely, Bonnie. I too have that stencil and it's great for backgrounds...still available in a few places in the UK, just did a search. Love the expanse of white and that open butterfly, so pretty.
Thanks for sharing with us.

Very pretty! I like that stenciled background.

For the longest time I used my Cuttlebug plates in my Big Shot. Recently I had a die that was too big for them so I stated using the BS plates. It's like using new plates because there were hardly used before. New plates are fun! Cut so nice!

Great card!

I'm very curious about the cutting plate you mentioned. Can you tell us more about it so we'd know if it is something we'd be interested in contacting it's maker or seller? I'd hate to bother her if it is out of my price range at this time. :)

Yes I would like to connect with Nancy to get a plate to help cute tricky detailed dies please! This card is a winner for sure! Hugs Brenda

CAS and extremely elegant Bonnie and that is a beautiful butterfly die, I have seen it recently over at Sarn's blog too. I love the shimmer and the texture in the background and finished with the pretty sequins and sentiment. x

Really neat looking card, Bonnie! I'm interested in your new cutting plate. I'm starting to avoid delicate dies, even though I love them--takes so long to get them totally cut even with my metal adapter.
