We have a new challenge at CAS Mix Up
This is a technique I've been wanting to try for ages.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
This is a technique I've been wanting to try for ages.
Using Stamping, Marbling, Heat Embossing, Die Cutting, Fussy Cutting
I sprayed some shaving cream in a foam tray, smoothed it and dropped
2 colors of re-inkers into it.
Swirled with a wooden stick and laid some paper on top.
(I later found that a toothpick works better get more delictate swirls of color.)
After pressing it down on the swirls, I lifted the paper and
scraped the shaving cream off with a piece of heavy acetate
that started out as backing for clear stamps.
It sure made the house smell good!
Here's a closer look at the shine of that embossed shell.
There's several ways you can do marbling and we have some videos over at
I can't wait to see what you come up with.
EDITED TO ADD THAT AAA CARDS TO USE A NEW TO ME TECHNIQUE
Marbling was a new to me technique.
IT"S A STITCH UP
I have a double stitched frame
and
ANYTHING GOES
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

This is such a gorgeous example of marbling, Bonnie. And the card is amazing with the marbling, copper embossed shell and the beautiful texture from the woodgrain embossed card front and frame. It is even more beautiful in real life and I have it sitting where I can admire it. :) Thank you for sending, dear friend. xx
Gorgeous shaving cream marbled background Bonnie. I love the addition of your heat embossed shell. So pleased you added your close up photo of your shiny shell. TFS my friend. You are making me want to try the technique again with just 2 colors. Hugs, nancy

I love this technique, Bonnie and your results are fabulous! I also like that it leaves the paper feeling SO nice! What gorgeous colors. I haven't done this in so long so thanks for the reminder to try it again!
That marbling is gorgeous, Bonnie. I'm glad there's a video of how to do it without reinkers since I don't have any. I hope to get back to some serious crafting after Labor Day and will definitely try a card with marbling.
That background is soooo gorgeous!!!!

What a beautiful card! Makes me want to get out a can of Redi-Wip and chocolate sauce *wink*
That is one of the loveliest pieces of shaving cream marbling I've seen! And the copper embossed shell is stunning - so glad you put in that close-up.
SO very beautiful, love the die frame and the shell and your marbling, I have just done this technique for the first time, certainly not as good as yours though!

That marbling is so cool looking. I was hanging out with some ladies once on a playdate. After they broke out with the Barbasol to make shaving cream cards I had to leave. AHHHH-CHOOOO! It is such a fresh scene but I guess my nose doesn't like "fresh!"
Beautiful card Bonnie. The shaving foam technique is such fun isn't it? And it makes the card smell nice too.
