What do you do when there's the edge of a hurricane going over?
Watercolor of course.
To make this card I masked off a piece of Mixed Media paper and
stamped a portion of this stamp.
Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian Friends.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Watercolor of course.
Actually I did a different watercolor piece but haven't got a photo of it yet.
It got kind of rough around here for a while, but we were blessed and didn't lose our power.
The lights flickered and actually went off twice but came right back on.
Other than a few limbs, branches and lots of leaves laying around, we fared well.
Some of our neighbors in the state and the southeast coast didn't.
Our prayers are with them as they deal with loss.
To make this card I masked off a piece of Mixed Media paper and
stamped a portion of this stamp.
Then I squished some ink into the lids of my ink pads and picked up with an Aqua Painter.
I just dabbed the color onto the background.
Easy and fun!
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

It's so nice to hear from you and find you are fine. I join my prayers to yours for your state and all others impacted by this storm. Your card is lovely. It is a beautiful fall card and I love the watercoloring you did.
Beautiful watercolor card Bonnie. The colors are so gorgeous. So thankful that you are alright. Prayers to all in Mathew's path.
Stunning card. Glad to hear you fared ok in the storm. Watching out for other bloggers to comment that all is well with them too.
Hugs Mrs A.
Absolutely beautiful Bonnie, you really have mastered watercolouring! So glad to hear you weren't too affected by the hurricane.
WOW ... this is gorgeous Bonnie. Such a beautiful fall scene. Your "dabbing" looks amazing. :)
So happy you made out ok with the hurricane. How scary!! xx
Gorgeous FAll scene Bonnie. I love your colors, masked framing and perfect sentiment. TFS and so happy to hear you weathered the storm. Hugs, nancy
Now that's the attitude to have--joking about the hurricane with your watercoloring! So happy you didn't have damage!
Wonderful watercoloring, LOVE that background you created around your tree stamp! The colors are just so gorgeous! Glad to hear you fared well and you are safe!!
Glad to hear you were not damaged by Matthew Bonnie. I love your card - the texture you have there is wonderful.
Blessings
Maxine
This is gorgeous Bonnie and such pretty colour you used. I assume the Aqua Painter is the same as a waterbrush, but whatever you have tackled the scene beautifully. I am glad you escaped the worst effects of the hurricane and no great loss of power either. The only time I have experienced what we here would call a hurricane was in the south east of England in 1987 and because the trees were all still in leaf whole hillsides were decimated and lots of roads were closed due to fallen trees. Someone I knew had a tree come through their roof but they escaped injury luckily.
This is a definite WOW card, Bonnie! How I love the colors and the way you randomly added it. This is so gorgeous! Thanks for always describing your process.
Gorgeous fall scene, Bonnie. Loved how you framed your art piece too! And so glad you're all right. We have family in South Carolina, who fortunately came through without too much damage.
I'm so glad that you and your family got through the storm without serious loss or damage...I know it's been a horrible experience for many! My prayers go out to them.
I love how you added watercolors to your background on this card! The autumn colors are so pretty, and you have framed it out beautifully!
Limbs??? I hope you meant tree limbs, Bonnie!
What can I say other than this is absolutely beautiful. X
I love this card so much! You have such a knack for watercoloring — all of your cards are so beautiful!
Okay...now I must get my watercolors out and doodly with them a bit...you have so inspired me with your lovelies! ♥ Sue Kment
How did I miss this one? It's just gorgeous. This stamp is SO versatile in your skillful hands, and you've made some stunning cards with it! TFS & Hugs
