Autumn Woods

What do you do when there's the edge of a hurricane going over?

Watercolor of course.

Actually I did a different watercolor piece but haven't got a photo of it yet.

It got kind of rough around here for a while, but we were blessed and didn't lose our power.
The lights flickered and actually went off twice but came right back on.

Other than a few limbs, branches and lots of leaves laying around, we fared well.

Some of our neighbors in the state and the southeast coast didn't.

Our prayers are with them as they deal with loss.

To make this card I masked off a piece of Mixed Media paper and
stamped a portion of this stamp.

Then I squished some ink into the lids of my ink pads and picked up with an Aqua Painter.
I just dabbed the color onto the background.

Easy and fun!

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian Friends.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

This is gorgeous Bonnie and such pretty colour you used. I assume the Aqua Painter is the same as a waterbrush, but whatever you have tackled the scene beautifully. I am glad you escaped the worst effects of the hurricane and no great loss of power either. The only time I have experienced what we here would call a hurricane was in the south east of England in 1987 and because the trees were all still in leaf whole hillsides were decimated and lots of roads were closed due to fallen trees. Someone I knew had a tree come through their roof but they escaped injury luckily.

Gorgeous fall scene, Bonnie. Loved how you framed your art piece too! And so glad you're all right. We have family in South Carolina, who fortunately came through without too much damage.
