I'm still hanging in there with this Year of Flowers Collection.
This month's flower is Larkspur.
I've inked the stamp with Distress markers, stamped onto linen textured cardstock
and used a damp water brush to move the ink a bit.
Instead of splattering, I used the small end of a Festive Berries
Distress Marker to add some random dots.
I die cut with my Double Pierced Rectangle die and inlaid the
design piece inside the frame.
By adding this to a dark card base and placing the frame on foam,
I get a bit of color peeking around the inside piece.
And there have been a lot of July birthdays on my calendar!

Wow...what a difference those Bonnie magic touches make! The linen texture CS, the card base in vibrant color to match the image, inlaid image piece with frame on foam for peek of color. And using fine tip of marker for splatter look -- what a great idea. Result is such an interesting looking card.

This is so classy and elegant, Bonnie! I love the softly watercolored Larkspurs. They're so pretty! Now I know that moving ink a bit with a damp water brush is not as easy as I thought (I tried and failed!), so I appreciate your beautiful work even more! :-) And what a cleaver idea to let the Pacific Point blue peeking around the inside frame!
