It's time for a new challenge at
CAS Watercolour.
Nancy is our host this month and she chose
This is such an easy and fun technique!
Our Design Team and fabulous Guest Designer Marcia (Marcia K. Designs)
have some beautiful splash cards to inspire you.
Loll has done a video that you might want to check out if you haven't already.
I used some Peacock Feathers Distress ink on my craft mat, spritzed it,
and pounced my mixed media paper into the wet ink to splash the color
onto the paper.
Then I added some die cuts that I colored by sponging color on them
with Distress Oxide inks then spritzing with water.
The flowers are winked with clear Wink of Stella
but the camera didn't want to show you that.
They are very shimmery though.
Since I colored my die cuts, I'll add this to the gallery at
Challenges:
Enjoy!

Oh just in time to see another purple watercoloured die cut beauty, Bonnie! Perfect splash watercolor background to set them off of. xx
A great combination of colors. I love to mix purple and blue watercolors. It always gives such beautiful intermediate colors. Beautiful card, the flower popping out of the window is amazing. Next beautiful card, Bonnie!

What a lovely, lovely card Bonnie!! Your beautifully colored flowers sure do pop against that soft blue background...LOVE it!! Wish I could get WOS to show up too...it makes such a difference on a card IRL and it's just not fair that it doesn't show up...grrrr!! Have a great week and wonderful 4th of July my friend!! :0)
Such pretty wildflowers against a realistic sky!
OMGoodness, I am so loving the colors in this beautiful card Bonnie! It's just beautiful!! Hugs, Brenda
Playing catch up as once again have been away on duty! Home for a few days so will certainly try to get in the challenge again this month.
Am loving this Bonnie. It is simply gorgeous. x
TFS the video link. Love the way your purple flowers are slightly outside this pretty stitched window (I have the die, and it's a NBUS). The watercolor sky is lovely behind the vivid flowers. TFS & Hugs
Love the purple against the blue - just beautiful! Wonderful layout too!
Perfect background colours for those gorgeous purple flowers. Stunning!
I love the intensity of the color of your die cut flowers! How fabulous that looks against your background! Awesome color choices, Bonnie!
I love your big and dynamic splashes in the sky/background, Bonnie! The flowers are so pretty with the beautiful shades of purple. It's a nice touch that you placed the taller flower a little bit outside the window. Hideko xx
Beautiful papery purple blooms against your lovely blue background Bonnie!
What a lovely bouquet for someone to receive. I just love the flowers peaking out from the frame.
Another gorgeous coloured die cut which pops beautifully against the Peacock Feather DI background, and that peek-a-boo window looks wonderful. x
