Fall Tree

Hi there.  I hope you've had a great weekend!

I placed this oldie but goody tree from Stampin' Up! in my MISTI
and colored it up with Markers before stamping.

The leaves are so small that I barely touched them with a damp waterbrush.

Then I did a light wash for the background.

I'm so ready for Fall!

I see signs of color in the trees but not too much.

And it's still hot and humid.

Good weather to stay inside and play!

This card does double duty.

and

I inked the tree with markers for
My Mixed Media are inking with markers, stamping, heat embossing, watercoloring and die cutting

There are so many beautiful cards in both galleries!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

This design and layout is perfect for a masculine card, Bonnie, I am going to remember this because I have trouble with masculine cards! I love the soft water colored look!

I love how you gave this old SU stamp set such a new trendy look with your watercolor marker stamped technique, watercolor wash and CAS framing. This set is still my favorite for sympathy cards. TFS my friend. Hugs..

Love the lone stamped tree, which is so very beautiful and delicate. Perfect card for the sad occasion.
Autumn has arrived in Scotland and on the days it doesn't rain and is very windy (on the West coast) it can be glorious and I too love the changing colours of the trees x.

Blogger is giving me issues with commenting today Bonnie, so you might get two comments from me. Hard to say! I love this beautiful card! The tree is so beautiful all decked out in it's fall leaves color. The washed sky is just so calming. Put it all together and you got one beautiful, peaceful, calming and serene sympathy card my friend! Hugs, Brenda

Wow...this is one of my all time fave SU sets from long a go. I have always colored the tree in green...and now, hot dog, I have your idea to do it in fall orange. Your card looks so good with that Misti technique, vibrant leaf color and soft background wash. Here's to a fabulous fall!

Great use of a wonderful older stamp! Beautiful autumn colours for the leaves, and a perfect wash for the background - I especially love the way you did the sun looking like a large smudge rather than a strong yellow circle.

Your tree is so lovely and delicate, and I love the soft wash of the background - especially the impression of the sun. I would end up with a yellow green sun! ;-P The card is full of warmth and perfect for the occasion.

A sweet autumn setting, which goes well with the sentiment. A delicate stamp with the perfect subtle background. Love it when the leaves turn into a kaleidoscope of colour. So well reflected in this card. Beautiful xx
