More Inking with Markers

Hello friends. I'm so glad you stopped by.

Here's a very simple card using the Inking with Markers technique
that we're doing at CAS Mix Up this month.

I used Distress Markers, 2 shades of blue and one of green, to ink this stamp.

The stamp has two flower heads so I stamped it more than once.

You can use a stamp positioner to do this or ink all the colors and
huff on the stamp.  I used the MISTI and moved my card to
stamp the extra flowers.

I inked with the lighter blue first then "thumped" a darker blue on the stamp
before stamping on the cardstock.

I die cut the design piece and used the largest die in the set to emboss
the front of the card.

A little stamped, colored, heat embossed and punched butterfly
finishes off the card.

My mixed media are inking stamp with markers, stamping, thumping, die cutting,
dry embossing with die, heat embossing and punching.

I can enter this at the

You may have heard that we have a massive hurricane headed for NC.
Until last night it looked like it was headed for Raleigh but this morning
it looks like it will hit further south of us.

Good news for us!

We are prepared and hoping that we won't be without power for days.

If you pray, pray for those in the direct path.
There will be a lot of wind damage and flooding.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

I LOVE the delicate looks of these beautiful flowers, Bonnie. Thumping is a great way to get the two shades of blue. The orange butterfly is absolutely perfect with the blue flowers. Gorgeous design, my friend.

So happy that Hurricane Florence is not expected to come your way. That is a big relief for you and Bruce. I do feel for all the people that this massive storm is going to effect. Prayers going out to them. xx

What a beautiful card Bonnie! I love that stamp, it reminds me of queen ann's lace, which I love. Love the colors you used on this one as well as that beautiful butterfly. Yes, this hurricane looks like a really bad one, they said this morning that it got bigger over night and is now the size of the Carolina's together! That is big!!! So my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the line of this awful storm. Please stay safe as the flooding and the winds will be so bad. My heart is hurting as so many that I care about are going to be in this storm. Take care!!!!! Stay safe!!!!! Hugs, Brenda

Heard about the hurricane on our news - my thoughts go out to all those who are evacuating and whose lives and homes will be impacted by it. I'm so glad you are not in the direct path, and hope you don't lose power.

I love your card - so soft and appealing in those colours, and then the bright colour of the butterfly for contrast.

Very pretty two tone flower heads, Bonnie. The butterfly is so shiny alight on the flower. The coverage of Florence is showing a massive storm so stay safe. So much water predicted and so much damage. My heart is with everyone in it's path.
