Christmas Twofer

Hi there.  I'm so glad you could drop by!

It's been a dreary, rainy day here.  A perfect day for crafting.

This month's Twofer Challenge has a twist.
Please note! This month we have a Twist! We are forgoing the "for two different occasions" element of the badge so if you want, you can make two Christmas (or other holiday) cards!

I've taken advantage of the twist and made two different Christmas cards
using the same die.

First up

I loved the colors of the Inspired By Challenge
and used them for the first card.

and then I went more traditional with my twofer.

I used a NBUS die by Catherine Pooler called Joy Wreath
and used my fairly new Arteza TwiMarkers and a waterbrush to color
the die cuts.  It was so much fun!

I used two wreaths for the first card and three layers of the Joy.

For the second card, I used one wreath and cut it in half adding a
fir branch die from another set and the Star on a String.
The outside of the star was cut from a repurposed metallic envelope and
I watercolored the star with the same marker I used on the berries.

I used two more NBUS dies on the second card too and stamps
that hadn't been inked up before.

I'm thinking that with Christmas coming soon, I don't want
Santa to peek in my NBUS pile and think I can't possibly want anything else!
So I'm determined to get that pile down some.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Two gorgeous cards Bonnie and I love the wreath in softer colours and then used as a spray of foliage on the second in stronger colours, both very pretty, and love the double layer sentiment on the first and the hanging star on the second in that wonderful brilliant red. x

Bonnie, I am loving those non traditional colors on your wreath card so soft and yet festive as well. Your branch with its whimsical star made me smile. Your two designs are just lovely, thanks for playing along at Twofer Card Challenge #22.

Fabulous Christmas twofer! Wreath has amazing colours and is super nice painted. I like the branch with ornament on the second card. Clever way, to transform the wreath.

So wonderful, Bonnie. I love how you did two color ways for the cards. If Santa is looking, I may be in trouble too. I can't craft but my left hand can still order online. lol

At first glance Bonnie it is hard to tell that you used the same die as they look so different...clever use of the die ad two lovely cards.

I love how you used these punches to make two very different cards. Both of them are fantastic, so crisp and clean. I particularly like the embossed background on the second one.

Love both of your cards Bonnie! The wreath is so wonderfully colored and I love the mix of pastels and red! Love the hanging star on the second card! I had to come by for a better look!

Such clever use of the greenery to make a wreath and then a branch with that wonderful star hanging from it. Love the contrast between the non-traditional colours on the first and the traditional on the second.

Fantastic job using that NBUS, Bon! Santa will be bringing you lots of schtuff to replace that mountain, lol! I love the way you used the whole wreath in one design and just a part of it as a branch laden with berries on your second one! The unexpected colors and plump joy makes me smile and I'm in love with the hanging red star and scored woodgrain background!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #22! Hugs, Darnell

Oh Bonnie ... both these are GORGEOUS. LOVE the colours of your beautiful wreath. The new watercolour markers are fabulous and give such vibrant and amazing colour. The holly sprig is awesome with the red star ... it looks like red glass. xx

You're reducing the size of your NBUS pile while making mine bigger! I'm pretty sure I need this wreath and everything else you used on these cards. The embossing folders are must haves. If I can't have them, then I'll find something else like them. Okay, enough about my NEEDS. You've probably guessed by now that I think both your cards are totally fabulous and I love everything about them. Clever to cut the wreath in half. Thanks for playing with us at Twofer, Bonnie!
