Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I don't mean to alarm you, but do you realize that we're more than halfway
though November and Christmas is just around the corner?
I used to do a lot of different crafts and loved to use the hemlock cones that I
would collect at my Dad's house in VT in the summertime. I still have a kissing
ball made with these cones and an artificial sprig of mistletoe.
When this die set went on sale, I couldn't resist.
The branches and chickadee were cut from mixed media paper and
watercolored. I cut the hemlock cones from kraft and added a bit of color
with a marker at the tops. They are very tiny and my fingers had as much color
as the cones when I was finished.
I put it all together on a piece of kraft embossed and ink swiped for a
snowy forest background.

Oh, I love this! Your little birdie looks quite comfy perched in his little branches! I just got this embossing folder too and haven't even used it, so it's nice to see it on your card as well!
Such a realistic winter scene, Bonnie - love your sweet chickadee on the branch!!
I adore those little Chickadees - especially their darling 'swing set' song!
Bonnie, this is an incredibly beautiful card - those cones look SO real!

Ohhhh this is SO SWEET, Bonnie! I love Chickadees, my favorite little bird -- so sad we don't get them as we used to, I used to love watching them sit on my back deck!
This chickadee, foliage and cones are so pretty and beautifully watercoloured Bonnie, and the white inked trees on the kraft card make a wonderful background. x
Oh Bonnie...this card is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Your little Chickadee all nestled among the snowy branches and realistic looking cones is a truly beautiful Winter scene...LOVE this card!! Hugs. :0)
That cute little Chickadee looks right at home perched in those branches. The embossed background is lovely and perfect. Gorgeous card my friend.
LOVE your bird on a branch with those lovely pinecones, Bonnie. Always great when a card brings a wonderful memory to mind. The kraft for the base with the snowy tree background has a lovely, woodsy feel. Beautiful watercolouring of everything and the glitter adds lots of sparkle!! xx
