Crocus

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

We thought that spring was here, but now we're back to winter.
It will only last a few days though.
The early spring flowers have blossomed.  I don't have crocus in my yard
so I have to put them on cards.

I've used my dear friend Michele's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for these crocus.

Here's here sketch....

I've used a different shaped frame and moved my greenery up a bit.  I hope that's allowed.

I've cut the flowers and leaves out of white cardstock and sponged on color before
assembling the flowers.

If I'm going to mail Easter cards, I need to get them ready to mail.
Are you finding that the mail is extra slow these days?

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Sentiment computer generated
Ink:   Wilted Violet, Villianous Potion, Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss (DI)
Paper:   Neenah Solar White
Other:  Botanicuts: Crocus (Grtry), Classy Frames die (PB), Texture EF (PB), Outline Floral Cross die (SSS)

Enjoy!

Such a beautiful purple - a very subtle Easter card.
We've been having summer temps here - in the low 80's.
we need rain desperately.
I really do like your Easter card Bonnie -

Bonnie, you can plant your grass any old way you want to - especially when it's under your gorgeous purple Crocus! LOve that you've used my sketch for your beautiful Easter blessings!
Thank you so much for joining in the FMS fun this week!

What a lovely Easter card, Bonnie. The inking on the crocuses is beautiful and how appropriate to have that cross in the background. I don't send Easter cards anymore but maybe I should. And yes, the mail is slower than usual so I send a week in advance.

Beautiful Easter card Bonnie. Your crocuses and grass are beautifully ink blended. Love the frame and embossed background. The white cross behind the crocuses is perfect. Love it.
