Cheerful and Brighter Days

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Recently two friends had surgery.
I had been playing with some new Alex Syberia die sets and pulled
out another set that's just a little bit older, and they seemed to be just
the ticket for feel better cards.

For this first card, I paired the new to me Winter Foliage dies with that sweet bird from
the Cheerful Meadow set.

The foliage was cut from white cardstock and the ink was brushed on with
blender brushes.  The bird was cut from mixed media paper and watercolored
with Distress Ink.

For the second card, I used the same bird die and a sweet rainbow.  All were
cut from mixed media paper and watercolored with Distress Re-inkers.

I wish you cheerful, brighter days too.

Challenges:
Double D - Potpourri (see mood board below.  I was inspired by the rainbow & arches.
NBUS #88 - Never Before Used Schtuff (This is a special month at NBUS! Be sure to check it out)
Triple B - ATG Birds, Butterflies & Blooms (didn't use the phot inspiration)

That is such a pretty little bird and perfect in both colour choices Bonnie, and the embossed background goes beautifully and the hexagon makes a lovely place to put the bird with some foliage, and then the wonderful rainbow and perching bird, and both finished with great sentiments and enamel dots to match with the colours...two gorgeous cards. x

These two cards are the chirpiest, cheerful-est, most delightful feel better greetings! I'm especially fond of the quirky rainbow and think I will have to find that die set or a similar one and put it on my wish list. You have made another favorite and I'm so happy you shared with us at Double D!
