Berries Merry Christmas

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

We're having a nice taste of fall after highs in the 80's last week.
I LOVE IT!
Sweater weather!

This is a CASE of one of Michele's cards.
Her berries were purple, which I loved, but I went with red today.

I had to mimic her with the burlap embossing.  That made the card IMO.

I used Jen T's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #758

Here's the sketch...

I find that I do much better with layering stencils if I use my Misti.  It makes
it much easier to get each layer lined up perfectly.

I did two (you'll see the other at a later date).  The first had a disastrous
splatter episode! Oy!

This time I used some chunky frantage embossing powder to add white specks.
Then I embossed it and the embossed bits flattened and look like perfect splatters,
which is something I seem to be incapable of doing!

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Bitty Holiday Wishes (MBT)
Ink:   Lumberjack Plaid, Aged Mahogany, Bundled Sage, Vintage Photo (DI)
Paper:   Mixed Media (Strathmore), Real Red, Neenah Solar White
Other:  Berry Brances stencils (PTI), Burlap EF (HB), Merry Frame die (SSS), Chunky Frantage EP

Enjoy!

It's trial and error for me too Bonnie with splattering, but everything on this card looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL to me!! I love the grayish greens you used on the leaves and the deep red berries totally POP on this lovely, lovely Christmas card! Michele will be so tickled with your CASE and I am too! Hugs. :0)

I am so honored by your gorgeous CASE of my purple berries - the burlap embossing made MY card, too! LOve the deep red you chose for your berries so I might just have to CASE yours right back! Congrats on finding the perfect way to add splatters, Bonnie - it's a crap shoot for us all!
Thanks so much for joining in at FMS - I love that you've become a 'regular!' x
