Birthday Candles

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Just Us Girls has a fun mood board this week and one of the Design Team,
Bobby CASEd a card I'd made.  So I thought I'd CASE her back.

I die cut the candles from Neenah Solar White and colored with Copics.  The
background was embossed and popped up with foam.

You can't really see it in the photo, but I die cut a scrap strip of Neenah with a
curve die and embossed it with swirls to look like icing.  I placed the candles
on the "cake" with dimensional strips, and cut the Happy Birthday sentiment to
finish it off.

Challenges:
AAA Colourful #13 - See badge below
Can You Handle the Pressure - Used an embossing folder with twist of masculine
Just Us Girls #763 - Inspired by patterns, colors and candles

Card Recipe

Floral Love

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm excited to be Guest Designing at AAA Colourful today and it's a special day
for them.  Happy 1st Birthday, AAA Colourful!

Here is the colour board for this month.

I understand that there are prizes to be won, so be sure to join in
for a chance to win.  They have very talented Designers and I know you'll
be inspired when you see them.

To make this card, I stamped and heat embossed with a floral background stamp and
used a wet on wet technique for the colors.  I die cut a heart from the background
and added it back in with some foam behind it.  I believe that's called the eclipse technique.

I used deep purple cardstock for the die cut love and sentiment strips.

Challenges:
AAA Colourful #13 - See Colors Above
NBUS #71 - Never Before Used Schtuff (Floral Wishes stamp)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Floral Wishes (GKD)
Ink:   Whisper White
Paper:   Mixed Media (Strathmore), Neenah Solar White, Concord Crush
Other:  White EP, Alt. Watercolors (Crimson, Citrus Burst, Persian Blue, Forest Glade, Lavender Fields, Midnight Violet), Let's Have a Word Love Die (Grtry)

Enjoy!

Lacy Valentine

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I cleaned out my Valentine UFO box!  Yay!

Since I couldn't send Christmas cards to my Canadian friends due to the postal strike,
I decided to send them valentines this year and save their Christmas cards for later.
So you'll probably be seeing a lot of valentines this year.

I found some of these hearts in the box.  Either someone sent them to me or I die cut
them when with a friend.  They had been in the box for quite a while.

The red background is embossed but didn't show up in this photo.  Maybe you can see
it better here.

The flowers were die cut from Neenah Solar White and colored with a
finger dauber and I die cuta little branch and cut it apart to add a little more texture.

Challenges:

Noel Wreath

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Here's another Christmas card from my UFO box.

The grapevine wreath was in the box and I did what I do with the wreath on the door
when the seasons change.  You can add anything you want (or what's punched or die cut
in the bits boxes) and change the whole look.

This time it's finished off with pine and holly with a poinsettia added in.

A bird cut from gold foil and then embossed and a big red bow added some
more color and elegance.

The foiled Noel looks a bit off, but my Glimmer Machine doesn't work the best
and it could be off due to the shine that the camera doesn't like.

I'm adding this to a new to me challenge where my friend Nance is guesting for
the next several weeks.

Challenges:
AAA Colourful #10 - Reds, Greens and Gold
Just Us Girls #754 - Mood Board - See that wreath?
Jingle Belles - CASE their Banner

Card Recipe
Stamps:
Ink:
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Shaded Spruce (SU)
Other:  Nordic Frames (Grty), Funky Wreaths (TH), Holiday Blooms (Spl), Fit to be Tied (Grty), Birds (IO), Perfect Sentiments Holiday Foil Plate (PFS), Gold Foil

Enjoy!
