Ornament for CAS Christmas

Hello again my friends.

It's the 3rd of the month and time for our
CAS Christmas Challenge

This month I'm the host and I chose

I have lots of ornament dies to choose from.  Too many in fact and it took a while to
decide which one or ones to use.  You'll be seeing lots of ornament cards from me this month!

Last month's holly challenge entry from Di reminded of one ornament die
I had forgotten all about.  Thanks for the reminder, Di!

I die cut it from gold foil and a piece of Inka Gold smoosh and
fit the pieces back together.

The red had a blank space in it so I added some chunky white  and shabby white
embossing powder and heated from below.  It made it look like a vintage ornament.

The background was stamped with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp in VersaMark
and embossed with some of that shabby white embossing powder.

The die cut pine branches were leftovers from a past project.

I did cut a frame to hold it all together and stamped and gold embossed the sentiment.
I couldn't get the shine of the ornament and the shine of the sentiment.
My camera seems to have an either/or tendency.

Silly Camera!

I hope you'll check out our
and while you're there enjoy the wonderful inspiration cards
our Design Team have created for you.
Then pull out an ornament die or stamp and join us.

I'm going to take this over to Merry Monday
where my good friend Marcia is hosting.
I hope we can consider gold a neutral!?

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Stunning gold foil and red Inka Gold die cut ornament, Bonnie. I love how you added the snow..a beautiful fix. How clever to heat emboss and add snow to your grunge stamping too. Your die cut pine branches from your stash worked beautifully too. TFS your inspiring CAS Christmas Ornament card and hosting an awesome challenge. Hugs...

I love the ornament die you used and have in fact looked at that die many times, and then always decide I have enough ornament dies...but can you ever really have too many??!! So beautiful Bonnie - much better than my recent make! LOVE the use of frantage as well - it just brings the whole thing to life. Ha, I think there might be a run on those dies :) Problem is, what do I use for MY entry now, sigh?

The white glimmer pine needles and the red ornament are so gorgeous, Bonnie! I love that you added the chunky white and shabby white embossing. The gold foil outline and die-cuts are very festive, and the subtle heat-embossed snow in the background is a nice touch, too.
Thank you for hosting a challenge with so many possibilities! Hideko xx

I love clean and simple cards the best of all -- am taking a rather long break from cards etc. A lot of health issues. I tell you Bonnie, when it rains it pours.
This is a beautiful Christmas card - it would be pretty in water color too.
There is nothing like someone who is not doing anything to critique your work!! But the card is truly beautiful Bonnie!

I love this ornament. I have this die, but I've never used it in a fantastic way like you did it. The idea to fill the melted EP is brilliant!
