Hi there. Valentine's Day is fast approaching!
Here's the card I made for my DH.
A crafty friend gave me some veneer and I die cut several sizes
of primitive hearts from it. Some I stained with Distress Stain.
I adhered the largest to a piece of die cut foam for extra stability
and stacked the others on top.
Another dear friend sent me this awesome birch bark paper. I've
admired it a long time and finally gave in to gluing it to a card.
It's for DH after all. Next to ducks, he likes trees.
I've die cut the love you from a snippet of red watercolor and
some cut from white and stacked them all for dimension.

Snagged two rolls of this birch wrapping paper the minute I saw it! Your handsome card has shamed me into maybe using some of it......
Fabulous card!
Oh WOW! How I love the look of the wood heart on the birch bark paper! I have a bunch of wood veneer to use for this but the thin dies just don't cut it very well. Love this design and need to bring mine out to play again. This is a terrific, masculine Valentine!
Your rustic card is gorgeous! The layered heart is lovely and oh, how it pops against the beautiful woodgrain background! Thrilled to see this gem in the Just Us Girls gallery!

If that's paper I am in awe, Bonnie. It looks like real birch bark. I'd frame it and hang it on my wall. ;) Those simple hearts are just perfect with it.
I forgot to thank you for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
Wonderful Bonnie!

A great card for your DH Bonnie, and I love the birch bark paper with the rustic hearts which look fabulous in the bright red against the natural wood, and the bright red die cut words stand out so prettily. x
Wowzers, this is Soooo Special. That birch bark paper is the perfect backdrop to those veneer hearts. They just pop without stealing the show. A rich beauty xxx
