Blooming Garden

Hi.  How are you on this chilly, wet morning?

It's not snowing here, but we have really cold rain.  It's a good day to stay inside
to craft and write a blog post.

This is one of my favorite Penny Black stamps.  I've place it in the MISTI
and inked it up with Distress Markers.  I stamped onto Neenah 110 lb. cardstock
so I used a barely damp brush to move the colors.

I've stamped the sentiment on the dry embossed frame and heat embossed
it with white embossing powder.

The frame is on a piece of die cut foam and adds extra dimension.

Challenges:

ANYTHING GOES

ANYTHING GOES: Option Flowers

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

I haven't used my rose red paper or ink in ages and I forget how much I love it until I see something as gorgeous as this card, Bon-Bon! It's another one already framed and ready for the wall!! Hugs, Dolly

Striking card in that Rose Red color...a real beauty. And of course, your water coloring and the dry embossed background to set it off.

I love poppies (ever since I went to Italy where there were gorgeous fields of them) and your card brought back happy memories. Beautifully done!

Beautiful watercoloring, Bonnie! I like that you managed to keep some highlights with this technique. IT's so well done. Love the white embossed sentiment too. I never think to use the white.

Beautifully coloured flower Bonnie. Love how you have popped it behind that bright coloured card stock drawing attention to the floral image.

Beautiful card Bonnie! I am loving your base card color. And of course the poppies are just stunning. I also love that embossing folder because it gives the paper texture without being to texturized. Is that even a word?! I don't know but I have made it one. lol Love, love, love! Hugs, Brenda

Your watercolored poppies are sooo pretty, Bonnie! This stamp set looks like it was made for you. Every time I see your distress marker watercoloring, I'm tempted to buy DI markers. I know the markers themselves won't improve my watercoloring skills but I feel like I may be able to watercolor beautifully like you do if I use the same markers. (ha ha ha empty hope).
I love that you chose the lightly textured Rose Red cardstock for the frame (and the card base). It brightens up the white space of the background and draws your eyes right into the poppies.

Loving these coloured white spaces. The texture on this rose red adds to your beautifully painted poppied. Great movement in those delightful petals. xx
