The One Layer Wednesday challenge over at Simplicity this week is to use shimmer, but not glitter or bling.
A one layer is defined as a single piece of cardstock folded in half. No other layers of cardstock are permitted.
I colored the flowers with my Signo white gel pen first to get a nice white flower. Then I dry brushed a bit of shimmer paint over that.
Maybe you can see the shimmer better in the close up.
The sentiment is heat embossed.

I really love this, Bonnie. The white gel pen used on the blooms is beautiful with the Crumb Cake. What an outstanding card!
This is beautiful, Bonnie!! Great idea for this one-layer challenge. :)
LOVE it!
this is a lovely card, i like how you embossed the edges to bring the focal point alive. beautifully done.
Lovely card. I really like this branch stamp, and I like the neutral colors you've chosen. I need to use kraft more often as a card base!
Lovely

This is gorgeous! I love how the flowers pop off the page and the scored frame is the perfect CAS finishing touch!
Bonnie, I had the same problem trying to get the shimmer to show up on my photo! I LOVE this stamp....do the flowers stamp in silhouette and then you colored them? THat's what my stamp is. Anyway...I LOVE this. Now I think I might give it a try!
Beautiful, Bonnie. The embossed border is a great touch
Loved your card. It is so delicate. I agree the embossed border really added a nice touch.
Absolutely, positively gorgeous! Love how you painted over the signo pen. Fabulous idea!
