Counting Friends

This is a byproduct from my sentiment(al) journey the other night.  (The Less is More challenge was to do a one layer card with the focus on the sentiment.)  I really liked the design, but it was crying out for layers and the challenge required a one layer card.  I wasn't sure what to do with it so I looked through Bspinks gallery at Splitcoaststampers for inspiration.  Becky is the Featured Stamper at SCS this week.  This is the card I CASEd.

This is the card I ended up with.

When I was finished, I saw this little flower that I'd made a few weeks ago.  I think it really brings out the pink that is so subtle in the Rosemary.

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Herb Expressions
Ink:  Early Expresso, SU Markers (Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride)
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, Chocolate Chip
Accessories:  Big Shot, Square Lattice EF, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Boho Blossom & Itty Bitty Shapes Punches, Basic Pearl

I got to go out with friends today and we went to a competitor's store.  It was so much fun and I got some really good ideas.  Unfortunately it didn't leave much time for stamping.  Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting.  Enjoy!

This is very pretty, Bonnie! And, I do love the little, pink flower. Just the right touch. The image is quite lovely and so is the sentiment with it.
Sounds as if you had a fun day. I plan to go out with a friend on Thursday. The only bad thing about it is she isn't a stamper. We'll have fun just the same.

Another beauty! It's such a lovely technique to stamp a faded image behind the text and I love the addition of the little flower.

Wonderful card, Bonnie! Isn't it funny how all those layers call to us? Every card can't be a one layer card....we'd never use up all our stash!
