Here's another card for the Merry Monday challenge. I love that sketch and it was perfect for some damage control.
I haven't had much time with my stamps and what time I had seemed to be destined for failure!
I was trying to do a one layer card , but the birds just wouldn't cooperate.
It had to be a Birthday card and the holly wasn't saying birthday to me.
So I used the Ovals die and cut out some of the image. (Don't look too close at the coloring. I think Luke could have done as well.) Lesley's sketch was perfect for what could be salvaged.
All supplies are Stampin' Up!
Card Recipe
Stamps: Beautiful Season, Small Script (Retired)
Ink: Jet Black StazOn, SU Markers (Basic Gray, Basic Black, Soft Suede, Garden Green, Real Red)
Paper: Naturals White, Real Red, DSP
Other: Blender Pen, Big Shot, Ovals Die
I did finally get the one layer card done. That's a whole 'nother story! I'll share that tomorrow.
I'm so glad you stopped by. I'm off to do some visiting myself.
Enjoy!

Hooray Bonnie! Glad that beautiful image could be salvaged!
Smiles,

Bonnie, I was just going to say I thought the coloring was great!!! Love this card and the way you framed it in the oval. Very nice!

Birds don't take direction well, do they??? ;-) Oh Bonnie, if you hadn't said you had a problem with this card, I wouldn't have noticed. Actually, I don't notice ANYTHING wrong with your card--it's so wintry and serene and beautiful! I love how the joy seems to be sitting atop the snow.
Another stunner, you're on a roll Bonnie, xxx
Bonnie - such a delightful card! The bird looks wonderfully colored and I love the DSP you used for the horizontal element.
Dear Bonnie, I think the coloring is perfectly done. The overall design is really great. I love it =)
He looks perfect in his oval. Love the bright red and deep green. x
Bonnie, it's gorgeous and you're being too hard on yourself. But, I know how you feel when things don't go as we want. I made a card yesterday to be uploaded in a week or so and just couldn't get happy with it. Ugh! Bad feeling. But, in my opinion, yours looks great.
It's lovely and "joy" is is so right
