Sunflower Reminder for CAS Watercolour

Hello friends.  I'm so glad you could stop by!

I have another sunflower to share today.

I used another of the sunflower stamps in the Jane's Doodles set
and this time used watercolor pencils to color.

I got a large set of Faber Castell watercolour pencils for my birthday.
Now I have lots and lots of colors to choose from.

And I need a lot more practice with them!

I have used the smooth side of the paper for stamping and coloring the images
and fussy cut them when they were dry.

The piece behind the flower has a very light wash on the textured side
of the watercolor paper.

I mounted the framed design piece on foam for added dimension.

Marcia has chosen sunflowers for our theme at CAS Watercolour this month.

The Design team and out Guest Designer Izzy have a lot of beautiful
sunflowers cards to inspire you.

I hope you'll join us.

CAS Watercolour: Sunflower

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Fantastic work with the pencils Bonnie! I looks like you have mastered them. Love the depth of colour on your sunflower. It's beautiful! And so pretty framed with the soft green wash in the background. xx

Stunning! I like the leaf extending from the frame and the wash background really highlights the texture of the mat. As always, great skill at the w/color and doesn't look to me as though you 'need more practice'. TFS & Hugs

Wow! I have this sunflower set too, and I didn’t even recognize it. Stunning watercoloring with your new pencils, Bonnie. I have the 24 pack, but have only tried using it once. I not only need to use them, but I need a lesson or 100 from you! Beautiful card! xx

Love this card! You have motivated me to dig out my (very) small set of watercolor pencils and play. The coloring on the sunflower looks so real and natural. And the different textures of paper adds interest. Way to go!!

What a glorious sunflower coming out of the frame! Just looking at it makes me feel happy. Beautifully watercoloured with your watercolour pencils - I need to play with mine more and not just turn to my Gansai Tambi paints all the time.

Stunning watercolored sunflower with your new w/c pencils, Bonnie! I love that you used and mixed a lot of colors and gave the flower depth. I can look at the leaves and the center of the flower for a looong time, trying to figure out what colors you used. :-)
Love the very light green wash on the textured side of watercolor paper too.
Looking forward to seeing more of your pencil watercoloring!

What a beautiful card with this gorgeous and bright sunflower! Your watercolouring is amazing, I’ve first tried my card with the F.C. Watercolor pencils but it was not as vivid as yours ! Fabulous! Thanks so much for having me guest designing this month, it was such an honour and a pleasure! Hugs xx
