Amaryllis Thank You

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

A dear, sweet friend brought me an amaryllis bulb recently.
It's in a wax ball so I don't have to water it or anything, just turn it every
few days and watch it grow.  I've never had an amaryllis plant before, so I'm excited
to see if it will bloom for me. This card is to thank my friend.  It was from last year's
January calendar page.

My phone is wanting to play tricks with this photo.  I used Cherry Cobbler
cardstock for the contrast.  It's much brighter IRL.

Challenges:
The Flower Challenge #51 - Add Embellishments (I've added 3 crystals)
Krafty Chicks #538 - Clean & Simple

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Amaryllis (TT), Sentiment Strips (Alt)
Ink:   Festive Berries, Candied Apple, Peeled Paint, Pine Needles (DI), VersaMark
Paper:  Neenah, Cherry Cobbler (SU)
Other:  Stitched Circle Die (LI OOB), Circle Thin Frames (SSS), Subtle EF (SU), Icy Sparkle Crystals (Studio Katia), White EP

You come up with the best designs...taking a simple image and making it pop. I can picture this with the Cherry Cobbler and the pop it makes. Plus I like the circle die...a pop factor, also. Have a poppin' good day, my friend!

Hello Bonnie,
Amaryllis are very graceful plants, they can bloom twice a year at my mother's. I'm sure my friend will accept the card with great satisfaction. She is beautiful and shows your beautiful heart in her, Bonnie. This will be the best thanks for the amaryllis bulb.

What a fabulous job on that amaryllis! I had one once and didn't have much luck. That type of image can be challenging but you mastered it and maintained definition of the petals. Gorgeous card, Bonnie.

Bonnie, I've had an amaryllis in the ground for over 6 years and it blooms every year. I'm in Norfolk, VA. I think we may be in the same growing area so you should be able to plant it after you enjoy it inside this year.....Also they multiply. Mine came from one of my friends. Your card is beautiful!

What a beautifully coloured Amaryllis Bonnie stamped on to the stitched circle and love the added cherry coloured layer and matted on to it too and also used to make the banner sentiment. The softly embossed background looks great too. x
