Words from a Friend

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

A dear, sweet friend enclosed some awesome Christmas die cuts in a recent card.

I colored this JOY with Real Red ink and triple embossed it with clear powder.

It was a perfect fit in the opposite corner of these Christmas sprigs.
I stamped the sprigs by picking up color from spritzed Lindy's Magicals
then added lots of splatters.

For this card I smooshed this NOEL die cut in some Magicals and water.
The background and die cut branch is a from a piece that was smooshed with
re-inker and Frost Paint.  It's very light so it had been watered down a lot.

We're down to the short rows as they say in our area.

Yesterday my daughters and I did baking and texted each other pictures
of what we were doing.  It wasn't as much fun as baking together
but was a way to enjoy each other safely.

Challenges:
Jingle Belles - Taking Christmas Back
Penny Black Saturday - ATG/Optional Winter Wonderland (I went with ATG)

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

LUV THESE DIES and how you used them!! Perfect for putting together striking looking cards and using stuff in stash...plus can be quick and easy when "crunch time" hits. Your comment about sharing pics while baking is so sweet and a clever way to beat the pandemic limitations.

Cute dies from a sweet friend and you made beautiful cards with them! Each is very special in its own way. Texting pics of your baking is the next best thing to being there... well, almost. Merry Christmas, Bonnie!

These are both lovely cards. You sure made good use of those dies and smooshing the Noel die was a cool way to color it. Isn't it a shame you couldn't bake with your daughters but you did get to share the goodies in a safe and calorie free way.

These are lovely, Bonnie. The pale background leaves in the first one and the gorgeous background smooshing in the second one are among my favourite techniques.

Those are really cool die cuts and I love the way you used them! My comment about splattering on the last card was meant for this one- sorry, senior moments happen. Love the fabulous colors on your teal card. Both are just gorgeous!

These two designs gave me lockjaw, Bon! I just adore the coloring and how you did the backgrounds for each one. Two more to go in the 'To CASE' folder! I think that was a very clever way for you and your daughters to share the traditional Christmas baking. Way to keep strong and roll with the Covid punches! Great to see you today! Hugs, Dolly

Great die cuts , especially the "joy" triple embossed like that. The green sprigs and red splatters are fabulous on the first card.

Stamping friends are the BEST! Love these two word dies sent to you. Gorgeous watercoloured leaves for your first card. I have not tried stamping with diluted magicals - amazing results Bonnie! And gorgeous colours for your Noel, pine sprig and background. It's wonderful that you arranged to bake with your daughters at the same time and share photos. What a great way to share time together, but apart. xx

Both cards are fabulous, Bonnie! The gifted die-cut sentiments are beautifully inked and smooshed. The JOY sentiment IS a perfect fit in the opposite corner of the Magicals sprigs. Wonderful layout!
The Pool Party and Frost Paint Paint background for the second card is wintry, and I love the visual texture!
How fun to bake together with your daughters with the help of technology! :-)
