Carolina Wren

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

We love to watch the birds and we have a lot of them that come to visit.

One of my favorites it the Carolina Wren with his perky tail.
They are very vocal little guys that chatter, sing and scold.
We always know when they're around.

The wrens are such a pretty rust color that I knew immediately what I was going to do
for the Color Hues challenge.  I was delighted to see that he fits perfectly in this frame.

The frame came with a stencil that was a big help in keeping the frame white
when ink blending the leaves.  The bird was ink blended too.

Challenges:
Color Hues #94 - Rust & Green
Memory Box #111 - Foliage-Trees/Leaves
Four Seasons - Fall (this is how our leaves are looking these days.)

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Technique Tuesday (oob)
Ink:   Cajun Craze, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green (SU)
Paper:   Neenah Solar White
Other:  Fun Floral Sidekick Frame & Stencil (PS), Backyard Wren (MB)

Enjoy!

Oh, I always love seeing those little wrens too! They make a BIG noise for such little birds! Your wren is just fabulous! Gonna check out that stencil for sure! Lovely card all round!

Oops, I see that bird is a DIE, not a stencil! Thanks!

I love watching birds too - always have several little birds at the feeders outside of my craft room windows. But they seldom tweet. Sure wish some Carolina Wrens would come and visit me. Your coloring/painting is wonderful and I think this sweet wren showcases your talent.

Thanks so much for sharing this beauty with us at Color Hues...we always love seeing your creations in our gallery!! Hugs. :0)

I love how you turned the frame for the bird, and your ink blending is beautiful! You can always tell a wren by its perky turned up tail flicking almost quicker than the eye can see. So pretty, Bonnie!

I love seeing the way you paint your die cuts, something I never succeeded with. This card is adorable. Love that wren too!

What a beautifully coloured wren Bonnie, and love the border of pretty leaves, and the ornate mate and inset stitched panel really shows it off. They do have a very loud song for a bird so small. x

I know I have called you the queen of florals but I think I might have to add birds to that title too. Gorgeous wren and card! Love how you got both colors on the leaves as well. Awesome card my friend and thanks for playing at Color Hues.
