Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I rarely use my stencils, but I gave them a good workout in the last week.
For these cards I used a stencil that a sweet friend sent me for my birthday.
While doing the stencil monoprint technique for the Group of 7 Cardmakers, I first
used the stencil in the usual way and got a good inking through the stencil.
I pulled the stencil off the cardstock and spritzed it then laid it wet side down on a
piece of mixed media paper and pressed on it with a piece of paper towel.
This background was my result. Not the best transfer but I was able to use it.

All that purple is so pretty, Bonnie. Vibrant on the first card and soft as a background for the lovely flowers on the second.
A good play with that stencil. Both cards are lovely. Love the soft background from the pressed stencil on the second card.
Love the stencil, your first card is so lovely, with the delightful butterfly and sentiment over it. Your second take on the stencil, is very soft and love the flowers and sentiment. Both Gorgeous cards.
You had me at purple, Bonnie - love both backgrounds you created with that branchy stencil!!
Bonnie, you are making me wish we could have shared more time creating together at one of your tables. What a wonderful stencil/gift! So pretty as a monoprint, too! That wilted violet is a gorgeous color in all its shades. Two beautiful cards, my friend!

Two different looks, but two beautiful cards Bonnie!! I love the deep purple you stenciled on the 1st card and that lovely butterfly with the touch of gold! Your monoprint background is just as pretty with the beautiful blooms standing out...love it!! Lovely, lovely cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
I love that strong purple which you used as the background to the pretty white butterfly Bonnie, and the gold body and antennae and also on the sentiment coordinates perfectly. The stencilled monoprint you made from the first stencilling gives a lovely random look which is great as a background to your beautiful purple flowers. x
Oh, yes, very different and each beautiful in its own way. The first almost looks like a die cut. It appears the gorgeous butterfly is clinging to the berry stems. The subtle transfer on your second card makes a lovely background for your flowers as it adds interest, but does not interfere.
So cool that you got the second "printing" from your stencil! I love the intensity of the first one! Makes that beautiful butterfly stand out even more!
Two very different looks but equally lovely! I especially like the first one with the intense purple background but plenty of white space around it. And the butterfly is gorgeous on it!
I like the results of the first card with the rich, dark color but I particularly love the subtle print on the second card . Good for you for getting two cards done!
AAHHH....Two Beautiful, but very different results using the same background stencil for each card, Bonnie. TFS your beauties, dear friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy
LOVE both the print and monoprint from your stencil, Bonnie. The purple background is so vibrant on the first card and it shows off your beautiful butterfly. Love the softness of the monoprint, which is a lovely background for your pretty flowers. Great work, my friend!! xx
Both techniques with the stencil are beautiful, Bonnie! I love both these cards, they are wonderful
I agree. We don't use out stencils nearly enough. Thanks for the inspiration. 2 gorgeous cards xx
Beautiful, Bonnie, so beautiful! I love the vibrant purple background stencil with the white butterfly and the lighter background with the vibrant purple flowers! I have to say it again: just beautiful! Thank you for joining my IDEAS stencil week! 📌Love, Dolly
You've inspired me to use purple more often than I do! These are both just as lovely as they can be, Bonnie!
Two beautiful cards, I love the soft purple of the mono print ♥
Two lovely cards created with the Pos/Neg inked stencil Bonnie! Love the touches of gold on the butterfly card and the beautiful blooms on the birthday card! Julia xx
One stencil two ways… fabulous! So vibrant on the first… soft and subtle on the second.
I really like the effects of working with a template. The panel with ink applied sponge through the template is intense. However, monoprint through Stenricil always ajeje delcetic results. I do not think that the second panel is unsuccessful. It works perfectly with your flowers.

What a difference one stencil and two effects can make. They're both lovely and the 2nd is like purple rain to me.
