Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
This month the Group of Seven Cardmakers tried a Floating Frames Technique.
Here's what I came up with...
I used this video tutorial for my cards by stamping, coloring and die cutting these
NBUS flowers. I arranged them around the framed sentiment and added them
with dimensional dots. I probably shouldn't have popped up the sentiment, but
it's not coming off!
Then I used a large stamp, stencil and die set for a second card.
I started coloring through a stencil with a pink blending brush then added a little
extra color. I'm not sure what the first color was, but the main color of ink is
listed below. Once it was colored and die cut, I cut a piece out of the center
so I could use it as a frame which I added it to the card front with a piece of
foam behind the flowers.
The piece that was cut out of the center didn't go to waste. I embossed it then
layered it up and added to a die cut that I've had for years and not shown any love f
or almost as many years.
There's another video at the Group of Seven site and lots of awesome
inspiration from my friends. I hope you'll check it out and if you want to
make a card using this technique, we'd love for you to add it to the gallery.

What gorgeous florals you used on both of your cards Bonnie! The first is so pretty with the lovely sentiment framed in that pretty die cut surrounded by your stems! What a lovely stencil die cut covering the whole card front on the 2nd with the black framing around the sentiment. And finally the beautiful center focus of that lovely bloom framed by your lovely white embossed panel! Julia xx
Both stamp sets are so gorgeous, Bonnie! I love seeing what you did with the PB set on your first card. You know I'm partial. Beautiful coloring on both. The method you used for this technique might almost work for me.
Such beautiful, soft colors and love the cards you made.
Having lovely flowers framing a die is such a great card design and your beautifully colored flowers framed your wonderful sentiments in such a classic and elegant way, Bonnie.
Bonnie, you had me at the first floral frame and kept me with the second and third! All so pretty in pink!

All three are so lovely! I'm away, but once I'm back in my crafting room, I'm going to give this a try!
