Two Frogs

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I've been having some fun with a NBUS stamp from Unity.

I did both a masculine and a feminine version.

First up the masculine version.  This was a take off of a card we did in my last class.

The frog is stamped and heat embossed with clear powder, then watercolored.

The navy piece is dry embossed.  It didn't want to show up well in the photo.
One side of it didn't emboss for some reason (user error, I'm sure) so I cut that
part off and added it green background.

Since I had another frog stamped, I decided to make a feminine version...

I stenciled some hearts in the background and added this one on a pink heart.
I gave him a crown cut from White and heat embossed with gold. I've added inside that
"you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince".  It goes to my teenage granddaughter.

Challenges:
Can You Handle the Pressure - I used the twist of something that begins with the letter F (Frog)
Just Us Girls #761 - Use a Die Cut Heart
NBUS #71= Never Before Used Schtuff
Stencil Fun - Use Stencils with option of pink or red

As adorable as your feminine frog is, that frog fella [I'm naming him Joey] and the colors you've chosen as backup singers is just fantastic, Bonnie! What a darling duo of Valentines!

Two fun Valentines Bonnie, and that frog is very cute on both the masculine and feminine version. I love the tag on the first and the deep red hearts and ribbon go beautifully, and then the pink version with the frog's cute gold crown and the stencilled heart background, and the amusing sentiment inside will appeal to your granddaughter I'm sure. x

Two super cute Valentine cards with that fun frog. I too like the colors and layout you used on the masculine card and the feminine version is so cute with all those hearts, and of course her crown.

How fun are they! I had to laugh at Michele naming the fella Joey. That's our son's name and I thought of him immediately when I say the sentiment SUP? !! Thanks for playing along at Just Us Girls!

I knew right away what challenge your card was for, Bonnie. CYHTP I love the look on that frogs face. Adding a crown to make a valentine was such a great idea. Thanks for sharing that one with us at Just Us Girls.

Love him, Bon! He would not have stayed on my NBUS mountain for long! I often wonder where I got my love for frogs and lizards because I don't remember them being a part of my childhood at all. Must have been books? Something passed on from grandpa? Who knows?! 🤷‍♀️As I was saying, I love him and love both your gender designs!! Hugs, Dolly

That little frog is great and a lovely example of how you can make very different cards with the same stamp xx
