Birthday Poppies

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm still trying to get through my NBUS box.  It seems that I take 2 steps forward
and 3 steps back.

For this card I used a stamp and die set that a treasured friend sent me for my birthday.
She knows how much I like poppies!

I stamped the layered stamps on watercolor paper and blended the colors with
a waterbrush and Distress re-inkers used as watercolors.  I love the intense color
I was able to get.

I embossed a piece of Naturals White cardstock with my linen embossing folder.
Die cut the watercolored poppies and popped them on the embossed panel.

A foiled sentiment finishes it off.

Challenges:
NBUS #78 - Never Before Used Sctuff
Seize the Birthday #313 - Use Embossing

Card Recipe

Enjoy!

Your NBUS box must be more like a trunk!! I love the intense color you got too. I think red must be one of my favorite colors. Red has so much energy. I really do like the embossed background. Just enough texture without being too busy.
