Autumn Herbarium and Freshly Made Sketches

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I couldn't resist the Autumn Herbarium stamp and stencil set from The Greetery.
I had to add the embossing folder too.

I have spent the past week having so much fun with this set!

Here's the sketch that Judy gave us to work with....

I cut the background pieces from Neenah Solar White, loaded them in the embossing
folder (very carefully) and embossed.  Then I used the stencils to add color with blending
brushes and Distress inks.  I only colored the two corners, leaving the opposite corners as
embossed white space.

I had also included the Oblong Octagon Labels stamp and die in this order.
After die cutting, I stamped the frames and sentiment to add as the circle element.

Be sure to check out Freshly Made Sketches and maybe play along too.

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Oblong Octagon Labels (Grtry)
Ink:   Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire, Wilted Violet (DI), Soft Suede
Paper:  Neenah Solar White
Other:  Autumn Herbarium EF & Stencil (Grtry), Oblong Octagon Labels dies (Grtry)

Enjoy!

Love the embossed background. I am liking the use of embossed backgrounds more and more. And the colors of the leaves are so pretty. I must be an Autumn person as I really love Fall colors.

Coloring only part of that beautiful embossed background not only worked for the challenge but added movement to your card, Bonnie. I can see why you were drawn to that set.

A gorgeous new set of supplies AND a brilliant way to use that sketch, Bonnie! What is it about leaves that make us love them so?

Your colored leaves are very pretty and I like how you only colored opposite corners to match the sketch. The framed sentiment is perfect.
