Bird in the Hemlock

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I've been lax in doing Christmas cards and will be sorry when it's time to send
them if I don't start working on them.

I didn't use this die set nearly enough last year.

The chickadee and pine boughs were cut from mixed media paper and watercolored
with a combination of inks.  I added some sparkly snow to the branches.

The embossing on the label was done with the nesting dies after it was cut.

Challenges:
Christmas Kickstart -  Season's Tweetings (Use a bird)
Simply Clean & Simple - Optional Theme: Things that Fly

Card Recipe
Stamps:  BP Fancy Sentiments (SB)
Ink:  Rustic Wilderness, Pine Needles, Vintage Photo, Smoky Gray, Basic Gray, Crisp Cantaloupe, Peach Parfait (SU), Black Marker (SU), Whisper White, BP Black (Spl)
Paper:   Neenah Solar White, Mixed Media (Strathmore), Kraft
Other:  Hemlock Cones & Chickadee dies, Scrolled Punch & Pierce Plate, Mirrored Arch Labels (all SB), Fancy Sentiments Die (SB), Sparkle Texture Effects (MS)

Enjoy!

I'll never tire of seeing this little darling - any time of the year! He is a wonderful treat on your gorgeous Christmas card, Bonnie - love the sparkle of snow and those teensy cones!

What a great idea to use the nesting dies to emboss the label, Bonnie. The chickadee is so cute as the star of the card.

You make the best bird cards and this is another great one. The colors are spot on and brings him to life.
