Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Even though I struggled to find the right shade of blue, I ended up with
several cards for my stash.
This month Nancy picked our colors. She chose....
A sweet friend recently sent me a box of cardmaking goodies and this sweet stamp
was in there. I was so excited. It had been on my wishlist for quite a while.
I stamped it with Memento Toffee Crunch on Betterpress paper and used my
Zigs and waterbrush to color it. The snow sparkles with Wink of Stella. I'm not
sure why the camera saw grey. Some chunky Frantage was heated from the back
for some snowfall.
A twofer for today.....
There were also some embossing folders in that box. You know how much I love
embossing folders! I still haven't tried them all out. It's fun to have that to look
forward to! This one embossed a strip and I had this circle aperture sitting
on the table that worked good to show off the embossing. I used blending
brushes to color the embossing. The dragonfly was all done and waiting for
a place to land. I like having a variety of sympathy cards in my stash.
Now let's go and see what my talented friends and our
fantastic Guest Designer Michele have done to inspire you.
I hope you'll create a card using Dusty Blue & Brown and add it to the gallery at
Challenge ends at 9:00 AM on September 14th.
The winners will be posted an hour before our next challenge and the overall
winner will have the opportunity to be a future Guest Designer.
Most importantly, just have fun!
Edited to add that I'll add this to CAS Christmas - Woodland Creatures.
Thanks Loll.

Bonnie, that is one of my very favorite images from CCC! Aren't they just the most precious? You've colored them perfectly - that dusty blue was a little hard to find around here, too!
I DO know how much you like embossing because I love them so much, too! That little hitchhiker landed on a beauty!

A beautiful color combination, and you found the perfect shade for the blue. I think you perfectly matched the scene to these colors. You painted both the animals and the snow-covered space so beautifully. This is a fantastic winter card, my dear Bonnie. And the second sympathy card... those daisies look beautiful combined with the brown of the craft paper. A perfect sympathy card.

Beautiful colors for a challenge, and you've made two wonderful cards with them. I adore both of these, Bonnie -- plus that stamp is a mighty wonderful gift!
Both cards are so beautifully done, Bonnie! A sweet friend of mine gifted me that stamp set, too, and I have yet to color it, but it's slated for this Christmas. I'd better get crackin'! You probably know how much I'm hooked on embossing folders as well, and this one is especially lovely with those pretty blue flowers highlighted by the aperture. The dragonfly is a gentle touch and altogether it's a perfect sympathy card.
Bonnie both of these are so beautiful, I absolutely love the dear, it's so serene and with the fabulous snowflakes and spots and the bet sentiment! Your second card is gorgeous, the dragonfly and flower are so elegant looking! Well done!
That is just the sweetest image, Bonnie, and you really brought it to life with your wonderful Zig coloring. You framed it beautifully too. The flowers are delightful peeking through the circle. Two fantastic ways to use the challenge colors, my friend.
That is such a lovely image on the first card and it works really well with those colours. nice cool wintry feel with some warmth supplied by the animals. The colours work well on your second card too xx
A beautiful duo of cards, Bonnie. I'm especially smitten with your winter scene; so sweet and heart warming to see the friendship shared by these two gentle creatives.

Such sweet cards, I love the soft colours and beautiful designs and layouts
That deer & bunny image is so sweet and colored beautifully. Love the way you framed them. The second card is beautiful with the embossing and the dragonfly fit right in. Can't wait to see your other embossing folder designs.
Two fabulous cards,Bonnie! You should link that sweet CCC pair up over at CAS Christmas for my woodland critters theme!
I love that image - it's got such sweetness in it. Wonderful job framing it!
Beautiful use of the colours on each very lovely card. x
I have this deer and bunny stamp too Bonnie, but mine never turned out this BEAUTIFUL!! Absolutely love how you've colored the whole scene...it's STUNNING!! Love the PB frame too! Your 2nd card is just as pretty and I love the little dragonfly too! Two awesome cards for this color challenge my friend...you nailed it!! Hugs. :0)
Oh my word Bonnie. Card #1 is the sweetest card I have ever seen! Love it, love it! And the colors are wonderful - sweet scene - soft colors.
