Brushos for Happy Little Stampers CAS

Several months ago I bought some Brusho watercolor crystals.

I was seeing some awesome cards using these crystals.

I love the explosion of color.

However....

many of my backgrounds end up looking like mud!

An explosion of mud is not attractive!

I kept trying and...

I finally  got a good one.

I used a die that was won at
and I used it to cut the flower from snippets.

I thought the openwork flower was perfect with the colors peeking through.

Since I had to spray those crystals to release the colors,
I'm entering this in the

Since this blue looks like Royal Blue to me,
I'm taking this over to
ROYAL

I'm so glad you stopped by!

Enjoy!

Watercolor Butterfly for Addicted to CAS

I have a new toy!

I had to have wanted the Wplus9 Flora and Fauna set since I saw it last year.

What a perfect set! It has flowers, butterflies and birds.

It was my choice for the challenge at
Addicted to CAS
this time and I chose.

The sponsor this time is
Prize - $10 voucher to the store
(They have some pretty butterflies too.)
And we have a new Guest Designer this month.
Do go visit her blog.
She has some awesome CAS Designs!

I stamped this medium-sized butterfly with StazOn ink
and watercolored it with Distress Markers and my Aqua Painter.

Love the way it turned out.

I even got some good splatters!

I had this little snippet from a piece that I did using
Kylie's Acrylic Block Technique.

It seemed a perfect resting spot for my butterfly.

and my snippet gets me into
Pixie's Snippet Playground

and

Addicted to Stamps this week is
MAKE YOUR MARK
I colored with Distress Markers.

Thanks so much for the visit and for your uplifting comments.
I appreciate each of them.

Enjoy!

Wetlands Birthday

Wetlands continues to be one of my go to sets for masculine cards.

I'm so glad it wasn't retired!

I inked the goose stamp with markers and stamped.
Using a blender pen and a bit of Crumb Cake marker scribbled on a plastic lid,
I colored the body of the goose.

I masked the goose and stamped the taller grasses "behind" the goose
with Delightful Dijon ink.

Some die cutting and some embossing with the
Lil' Inker Stitched Circle die gave him a good place to hang out.

MAKE IT MASCULINE

The Masculine Touch

MAKE YOUR MARK
I used markers to ink the goose stamp.

ANIMALS

Here's another of our recent visitors....

A baby bluebird

In typical baby bird fashion, when he saw his mama
he opened his mouth for a snack.

I'm glad you visited too.

Enjoy!

I love this little hedgie delivering some happy mail.

Since he has 2 legs, we're going to
Where it's Lucky Dip week
and the theme is 2 or 4 legs.

Actually he's been delivered already to a sweet friend.

I don't think she'll mind my sharing.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sparkle, Shimmer and Bling for Merry Monday

It's Merry Monday time.

This week, Kathy is asking us to
Add Sparkle, Shimmer and/or Bling
on our Christmas cards.

Do you ever think a card looks great until you see the photo of it?

That's what happened here.

I put a Glimmer Paper snowflake over a Whisper White snowflake
and thought they were all lined up.

It seems that they're not.

But it has sparkle, shimmer and bling.

ANYTHING GOES

Now, I hope you'll pull your Sparkle out and join us at

Thanks so much for the visit and your lovely comments.
I know I'm behind on visiting and hope to catch up this week.

Enjoy!
