Watercolor Tree Two Ways

Hello Stampin' Friends. Yesterday I told you I was waiting for another project to dry and flatten. LOL, what a mess I made! And this was the outcome.

Even dry and flattened, I didn't like it! And, after looking at the Ways to Use It gallery, I realized that I really didn't get the challenge! She said to use one piece of cardstock meaning to take the rest of the piece of cardstock and embellish your card with it. Check out the gallery, I got some awesome ideas!

So I went to work on revamping this card....

I cut it down, rounded the corners, inked the edges with Early Expresso and popped it up. Oh, I added the little sentiment too. It's from an old set called Autumn Leaf Prints. I love the script on this. It's how I would write it if I didn't always choke up and make a mess!

To do the tree, I inked the stamps and spritzed with water before stamping on the watercolor paper. After it was all stamped, I spritzed the entire design again for good measure. That's when it got so wet! I don't know that I would use that much water again! I'm still learning how to do watercoloring. This isn't the best but I was able to salvage it and wouldn't be ashamed to send it.

I have another card to post, but I don't think I'm going to get it done tonight. I'll try to get it in tomorrow between loads of wash and cleaning.
