A Sleigh Full

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by.

This was quite fiddly and took more time than I like to put into a card,
but I had so much fun doing it!

I had a stitched square lying about so I masked the edges and
tore a piece of paper a couple of times for snowbanks.

I used Distress ink to sponge the sky and add some shadows to the snowbanks.
It ended up looking like dirty snow! But I had die cuts to camouflage that.
Sprinkling a little water over the sponging added some dimension to the sky.

The sleigh was cut from snippets of Inka Gold smoosh and Champagne Foil.

The little packages and bows were cut from snippets of foil and Inka Gold smoosh.

The sentiment was heat embossed with gold.
(Finding the right sentiment seemed to be the hardest part of the card!
No, wait, it was the sponging.  I'm really bad at sponging!)

The Poppystamps challenge this month is
I masked the edges of the stitched square die cut to leave a white frame.

I also used a piece of torn paper as a mask for the snow.

The dies are from Poppystamp.
Oh, oh, it looks like they've been discontinued.
I hope this will still count.

Merry Monday 262 is hosted by my friend Linda this week.

And since all those little gifts were cut from snippets, I'm going to skip over to
Where our dear friend Darnell is Guest Designing so I know there'll be fun in the Playground!

Rudolph Days runs from the 25th until the end of the month.
It's ANYTHING GOES CHRISTMAS
Thanks, Mo for hosting this challenge every month!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

I see a winner here, Bonnie. The background looks fine to me and I know what you mean about masking snowbanks. Mine look terrible so I rarely do them. Your sleigh is gorgeous with all that gold.

OMGoodness Bonnie this is such a beautiful Christmas scene. Love the tree stamping, your sky is perfect and bleak and love the 'dirty snow'. Your sleigh looks amazing and the presents beautifully wrapped and finished with those bows. This is one fantastic Christmas card. Your simple sentiment is just perfect. It's a Winner for me.

Just gorgeous Bonnie, so fresh and bright, love the die cuts - the silver on the sleight is just what santa called for, and fabulous landscape to show it all off.

You so beautifully managed the first plan of the card. I love all the details of the sled and lost gifts. But the second plan is perfect. I love the winter landscape that you created on this card. And the sentiment matched perfectly. The whole creates a perfect Christmas card, Bonnie.
Hugs,

Such a wonderful scene, Bonnie. And looking at your pretty die cut packages and bows, I am suddenly reminded of a brand-new die set I could have used for the MM challenge. Oh well, I least I did manage to link up a sweet card this week.
