More Layered Stenciling for CAS Mix Up Reminder

Hi.  It's the 15th of the month already.

There's still time to join in at
CAS Mix Up

Julia is hosting this month and here's our fun challenge.
I used stamping, layered stenciling, heat embossing, masking, sponging and die cuts

I started by masking and sponging some Distress Ink on a card front.

Then I laid the star stencil on top and used some metallic gold creme through it.

When it was completely dry, I laid the Falling Snow stencil over the top and
added embossing paste.  While the paste was still wet, I sprinkled
Dazzling Diamond glitter over the top and shook off the excess.

My mask slipped and I had a pretty bad smudge on the top, so it sat there for a few days.

I decided to cut the sponging out and placed it on some gold foil for a border.

I realized I didn't have any stamping, so I had to do some head scratching to
figure out how to finish this card and fit the challenge.

You can see how I solved that problem.

You can also see some, but not all, of the shine.

Oh, and I die cut the JOY 3 times so it would stand out.

Another Christmas card for the stash!

Since I used snippets of gold foil for the Joy, I can make a quick trip to
Pixie's Snippet Playground

Be sure to check out what the rest of our talented Design Team and Guest Designer have done.

I hope you'll join us at
CAS Mix Up!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

I love you stenciled the stars with metallic gold creme and the snowfall with white embossing paste! They're gorgeous against the blue. I'd have never guessed you had a smudge or forgot about stamping. The panel looks beautiful, and the stamped & die-cut sentiments look like they were planned to be that way. Hideko :-)

Gorgeous card Bonnie. Love how you managed to save it with a few tricks. We all have 'things' happen usually right at the end. Nice cas stenciling.
