Hearts for CAS Watercolour

Hello dear friends.

It's time for a new challenge at CAS Watercolour.

This month's challenge is

I've been having a great time playing with watercolor hearts, making
Valentine's Day and anniversary cards.

This one will go for an anniversary.

The beautiful NBUS die was used to cut from Solar White Neena cardstock.

Then I cut the heart section again.

I used a snippet of Brusho watercolor to die cut just the heart portion twice.
(This is a really saturated red that Jack did. He loves to shake those Brushos!)

The partial die cut Neena needed to be trimmed down a bit
so I could tuck it behind the main heart.  After all, it takes two hearts
to make a marriage!

Some decorative paper that had pieces of glitter in it makes the background.
I'm not sure where it came from as it's been in the drawer so long, I'd forgotten about it!

I wish the camera had picked up the silky white threads that run through this paper.

The Love is stamped and heat embossed to pick up some of the gold sparkle
in the background paper.

Finally, I placed a previously cut frame over the whole thing.

The Design Team along with our fabulous Guest Designer, Sue
have done some gorgeous watercolor heart cards to
astound and inspire you.

I hope to see your heart creations at

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

I love the stitched rectangular frame which leads the eye in to those sweet and pretty heart flourishes Bonnie, and the two bright red hearts stand out beautifully, also the decorative paper behind looks lovely and also the heat embossed sentiment to finish. x

Gorgeous, Bonnie. I love the saturated color on the hearts. Cutting a second heart was a fantastic idea to turn this into an anniversary card.

Such a gorgeous and elegant card, Bonnie! The 2 Brusho hearts are perfect for the anniversary card! The vibrant red and the shiny gold (speckles in the decorative paper & the sentiment) make the card look really celebratory. I was chuckling while reading your line "After all, it takes two hearts to make a marriage!" :-D Hideko xx
