It's time for a new challenge at CAS Watercolour
I'm hosting this month and I chose
This is one of my favorite bird stamps and I had him all painted up.
It's called Snowbird and there was snow and berries on the branches.
I know how we are all yearning for spring and didn't want to post a winter bird.
So.....
I filled in the snow (which was plain paper) with a marker
and punched out some flowers to cover the berries.
The piece I punched the flowers from was a piece of
Faux Mother of Pearl so the flowers have a variegated look and a little shine.
I just had to add a dot in the middle.
I added a bit of green at the end of the branches to represent new leaves.
(I didn't do a very good job in my hurry so I thought I should explain that.)
I die cut my design image and used the larger die to emboss the card front
and placed the design on top.
I hope you'll join us at
CAS Watercolour this month.
Our Design team and fantastic Guest Designer, Stef (Perry Papercrafts)

I just LOVE the bird image you used Bonnie and totally see why it is a favorite of yours!! You coloured him so beautifully...he's PERFECT!! And love how you made the card into a Spring card rather than Winter...I am so done with Winter even though it is still hanging around here in Michigan...grrrr! Anyway, lovely, lovely card my friend!! :0)
I don't think you need to explain about your colouring Bonnie, it is BEAUTIFUL, love the die shape and that bird image.

Your chickadee is the cutest! I love birds and hope to play in this challenge, too!
I love how you made your bird and branch into a Spring image instead of Winter. So clever, Bonnie. Beautiful cherry blossoms with added leaves for your sweet and what looks like to me..very young fluffed up chickadee enjoying the Spring sunshine:-) TFS my friend. Hugs..
I love that bird image too and your card is so creative and pretty. Love the way you used the flowers. It looks like spring popping out all over.

You know I'll love this little birdie (he looks quite like some we see at the feeders, so good job on the coloring of his garb). Enjoyed reading how you've turned this into a spring card, and your greenery looks very artsy. I sigh over your watercoloring. If you ever do classes, let me know ahead of time! I need some. Also love the dry embossed detail outside of the die shape too. TFS & have a great week.
What a clever way to turn the chickadee winter scene into a spring one, Bonnie! Just love the bitty flowers you added! Great coloring too!!
WOW! Your coloring on this is superb and love how you changed this to a wonderful spring card with your punched flowers. LOVE that bird and you did a spectacular job on this!
gorgeous Chickadee and love those spring flower branches. The cherry blossom is out here, it's so nice to see those tiny pink and white flowers.
Super card, Bonnie. Love how you've transformed the winter scene into a spring one - very clever. xx
That bird image is so adorable Bonnie and how creative to change the berries and snow into flowers and leaves. One cute card x
A really prettily painted image Bonnie and the change from Winter to Spring works beautifully and love the frame you have created with the impressed die round the edge of the die cut one. A gorgeous card! x
This is just the sweetest spring card EVER! LOVE that adorable chick-a-dee. Your watercolouring is AMAZING, my friend. And I love the design with adding the pretty pink blossoms popped up and the shape of the partial circle. Beautiful, beautiful card, Bonnie!! xx

Ahhh, this card captures the coming of spring so beautifully. Love how you transformed the stamp from winter to spring with the coloring and the MS punched flowers. And the embossed die sets off the image die so well. Such a pretty result with all the creative magic Bonnie touches!
gorgeous card Bonnie..love that your bird looks like it has such fluffy feathers...so sweet.

Gorgeous springtime card, Bonnie! Loving that bird and how you colored it and great idea to change up and use flowers over a winter stamp.
This is my favorite bird Bonnie - we have some here in Northern Florida but not as many as in Western North Carolina!
Love your card!!

Yay for bringing a little Spring to us, Bonnie. I love chickadees and this one is so fuzzy and cute. You did a beautiful job of coloring him.
Wow, I love this card, Bonnie! You completely turned a winter scene into a bright spring scene! It's so cleverly and beautifully done. Your watercoloring brings the bird to life. The Faux Mother of Pearl flowers and the green leaves make the card look even more springy. Hideko xx
Your card is just so sweet, Bonnie. I love how it is all framed in white, a gorgeous layout.
I understand why you like this stamp. But you used it in such a surprising way, creating a spring twig! What a great idea.
