Birthday Bird for CAS Mix Up Reminder

Hello friends.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I'm here to remind you that there's still a little over a week to  join in at
CAS Mix Up

Nancy is our host this month and she chose....

You can find video tutorials at the challenge site if you're not familiar with this technique.

Our Guest Designer, Cathy, and the rest of the team have some
fantastic cards to inspire you.

I hope you'll check them out and join us.
The challenge is open until the 24th.

The vine background was done by sprinkling Brusho crystals over
the stencil and spritzing with water.  Then I pressed the inked up stencil
on a piece of mixed media paper to get this print.

I've die cut this Memory Box bird from a corrugated coffee cup wrapper
and sponged a little whisper white and coral ink on him.

He's all framed up in Linen Texture Embossing.

My mixed media are Stencil Monoprint, Brushos, Die Cuts, Dry Embossing,
Corrugated Cardboard and Stamping.

Sweet. The bright colours from the vine really shine against the corrugated bird with white sponging. Beatuiful card, my friend! xx

It's a wonderful birdie! (none of my coffee holders have this corrugated design...mine all have a 'bubble texture' (But that would work!) What a super brusho background & it truly does look like lovely green vines. It's a clever design and use of your products! TFS

I love this pretty vine monoprint background, Bonnie! And what a creative and fresh idea to create this sweet bird out of a coffee cup wrapper! The color palette and the linen textured card base are perfect for this nature-theme card, too. Hideko xx

Such an adorable scene and love the subtle effect of the technique on the background. Great texture on the little bird from the recycled coffee cover. The texture on the back layer looks great too x.

Your background with the stencil monoprint technique looks stunning, Bonnie. And a wavy carton bird is so surprising and at the same time a great match for this card.

Love all the facets of this card. So many elements, the two tone CAS mono print, along with the shaded corrugated bird up to the framing & matting. Loving this white card stock too. Lots of texture, this is truly a BEAUTY dear friend. xx
