Evergreen Holiday for Rudolph Days

Hello friends.  I'm so glad you stopped by today!

I have more Christmas cards to share.

Both cards are made from a stamp set that I won from Rudolph Days last year.

I am so glad to finally have had time to use this beautiful set!

This first card was done by placing the stamp in my MISTI, inking
with markers and using a damp water brush to blend the color.

I always have trouble with the red and the first try had so many smears
that it wasn't usable.

It's a good thing that there are two sides to the paper!

This card was done the same way as the first except that I inked the ornament
on another snippet of mixed media paper.

I smacked it with a WOW Embossing pad and embossed it with clear powder.

Then came the tricky part of cutting it out and keeping it round.

I've added it with a dimensional and the frame is also popped up.

I have added Wink of Stella on both cards but the camera didn't see it.

They shimmer nicely when the light hits them.

My stash of Christmas cards is growing and that makes me happy!

you were so lucky to win that stamp set, it is so versatile. Love both cards, you framed the JOY perfectly and the addition of the brads perfectly focuses the eye to the image.
I must congratulate you on cutting out your bauble, my circles especially small ones seem to have corners and edges. Great frame and love the branch peeking out. Love the cards :)

2 great cards. Love the way you've got the perfect golden color of the jingle bell in #1. That is a really pretty stamp. #2 has such splendid watercoloring on the pine branches, and you've framed it with a wonderful stitched die. The ornament looks perfectly round (and I like the shading you've got on it too). Very dimensional, colorful and a lovely layout too. TFS

Just love both cards, Bonnie! That JOY with the bell for the O looks amazing; you colored it so beautifully! I love the branch behind the frame with the red ornament - well done on keeping it round; I can't for the life of me!!

These cards are so refreshing and pleasing. With all the super glitz around the holidays, good reminder that "less is more". Two terrific designs for those good looking smaller stamps that I never know what to do with. Plus special touches like WOS and coloring technique and the 3 red dots, etc.

Both of these cards are just stunning Bonnie! I love both so much. Reds are hard to work with and messy too. lol I'm not good with reds, but keep trying. Beautiful images on both cards! Hugs, Brenda

Love your use of frames! I was thinking of doing that too, but haven't come up with a design yet.

These are both so pretty. I love the golden bell with greenery and the perfectly round ornament. I will get a smudge of red somewhere on the card I am making no matter how careful I am. You did great!

Fabulous stamp on your first card and love the effect with the technique that you have used. Such a wonderfully elegant Christmas card. The green card stock on your second card looks fabulous with the green of those pretty pines and your wonderful red shiny ornament. Both cards look stunning Bonnie x.

Both your Christmas cards are so beautiful, Bonnie. I love your traditional reds and greens and marker watercoloring technique. All your details are simply beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. I have been working on my Christmas stash too. It is wonderful to see our stashes grow:-) Hugs...

Two more Christmas card beauties, Bonnie! That 🛎 card, especially the way you’ve watercolored it, jumped out at me. What a gorgeous stamp too. xx

Love the way the sentiment is the focal point for the first card - beautifully done with the stitched opening and the three little red dots. The second card is great with the frame over most of the image, but part of it coming to the outside of the frame. So nice to see two cards on coloured card bases!

p.s. I agree that it's very hard to cut something out and keep it perfectly round.

I keep going to try your design of the framing and forget, why when your cards are so beautiful, silly me.

I love both cards, Bonnie! The Joy is such a wonderful stamp and love the way you colored your bells. I got a chuckle out of the fussy cutting and keeping it round. Truer words were never spoken. Love the bought you included behind your image too!

Two beautiful Christmas cards Bonnie!! Love the sweet JOY card. You are so funny. Two sides of a paper sometimes aren't enough for me with red. :) And I love your ornament. The design is gorgeous with the stamped pine branches, gorgeous tone-on-tone patterned ornament and the sweet frame. LOVE IT! xx

So glad to see yo using the RD prize. Your cards made with this set, look wonderful.
I like the way the aperture has the sticthing on the outside of the cut out portion...looks great!

The marker dampened with water was a brilliant idea. I now want to give this a try.

Thanks for taking part in the July Rudolph Days Challenge.

Such a pretty JOY watercoloring, Bonnie! The three little red candy dots are a nice accent.
The delicate pine branches of the second card are amazing, but your round ornament fussy-cutting is more amazing! Love the well thought-out design, especially the way you used the white square frame. Hideko xx

WOW! Two amazing Christmas card, Bonnie. I love both cards. The first one has such an amazing JOY inscription, it looks stunning, while the colors are mixed up creating different levels of color. And the second card belongs to the group of cards that have great magic in them. Window and bauble with an additional dimension, and from the window protrudes a piece of twig ... It is so beautiful! And this is a delicate background! I love this card !!
